You know when a rhythm has been used enough to change it, that's good. Many people have no idea and miss clear cuts when to change things up, making a song feel stretched.
But it's boring. No flair, nothing special. It misses drops, bass, the things that make a song stand out from others so that everyone can recognize it no matter what has been played and what will be played.
But hey, maybe this isn't my style and people love it, who knows. I'm just a human being.
I can see this as a soundtrack to some of those wannabe retro pixel games or such, which is not a bad thing.
However, as Yates mentioned, it doesn't stand out - it misses something that would make it distinguishable from other songs. It's not bad, but it kinda feels blank. For your first effort, I'd say it's acceptable.
it cuts off at around 1:40 and then gradually starts playing again. At that point it feels more like a different soundtrack rather than an "off" track for your main theme of the soundtrack.
With this type of music it's easy to hit or miss when you need to change things up.
I find this better than what most people post when they want us.de users to rate their music so you got that going for you.
I'd add a build up into a second or two of some funky theme after which I'd go for a drop. That kind of music always stands out in my opinion. This would pass for an OST if you fixed the 1:40 part that I mentioned, though.
@ Rainoth: Thanks for your opinion. But 1:40 changed like different music, have another reason, I said that is feature.
@ LireyGAMER: Thanks for your opinion, really.
I don't like it, but it's good. The bass is a little too "scratchy" for the ears (I know, the modern 8bit theme etc etc), and the song should end at 3min/3m20s to not overextend the theme (e.g. cut out a part after 2:30).
This is written to become a game OST. No dr0ps needed
PS: You misspelled the word "night" on the cover %)
PPS: Are you going to find any better hosts to upload your music? (hive.co and dropbox?..)
@ VADemon: Yeah~Thanks for feedback, dude. Also you are right, I drawing wrong word :p . Hive and Dropbox is not a good choice? Or you can share me some your mean's better host.
i've listened to a ton of different music for thousands of hours and i would give this a 6/10. it doesnt sound bad, but it's too simple (i'm not sure how to describe this. the sounds that play are too similar/monotone throughout the track) and not interesting enough. it's like one really long intro. i'm not an expert in music so i have no idea how to improve it though.
also that bass is really low quality and slightly too loud
It really does sound like a soundtrack for a indie pixel game thingy. And it would work pretty well as background music. Not bad! Keep up the good work
@ omg: Hey dude, thanks for feedback. Yeah~I know this similar(and low quality bass), but I will try better later. (PS: Also I'm not a professional music producer. )
@ Avo: Thanks you, mate.
@ DC: Thanks DC, I got it.
