The game can become popular due projects by users.
I propose to use this topic for discussion of joint projects. Maybe they will bring especial popularity, but nevertheless worth a try.
So I'm not sure how exactly I can help, but I'm willing to help cs2d anyhow.
I'm kind ofa programmer, but I just can't understand why use lua nowadays. Under current conditions, CS2D's already been exploited, I believe that the ideal would be work on a new version for CS2D, perhaps a new engine with some programming language more applied to the market / easy to be studied. I have knowledge in Unity, Unreal;.. and I think that today, even for a 2D game they're better.
I hope my attempt to speak English has worked , kk
I actually began rewriting CS2D from scratch yesterday in C# XNA/MonoGame, using a custom engine developed by myself over several years (SharpXNA), would be free and open-source.
Expanded with many features, fixes, optimizations, and changes.
I already have a base foundation I mocked up as I said, with player movement, multiplayer networking.
Please contact me if you're interested, I'm on #unrealsoftware.de on quakenet IRC, and have been discussing details and this remake with @ DC: or you can contact me via skype below.
I told everyone willing to help to write to me, and everyone on the team has done exactly that.
At the moment we have a good Team and we will post something as soon as we need more.
It look like Starkkz's attempt to recreate cs2d, but why you cant understand simple thing - you dont need cs2d, we need new modular TD shooter which can be easy modified to create any mod which you need, same thing im trying to do as mod for cs2d in my Template Mod
You should add a 5- 10 pepole that goes in servers and ban hackers . If they think its unfair they can appeal a Unban request and mods take the choice.
@ Masea: As I understand it, he's talking about UnrealSoftware moderators. In my opinion, moderators should oversee the uprightness of the players in the games.
I saw Starkkz's Play2D and I know what it looks like, and problem not in engine, problem is that you're just trying to make сs2d on another engine, and it's not cool.
I totally agree with Pagyra. Anyway they kick out from the team if somebody of team member will want to kick you.. congratulations. I don't recommend those people.
The game won't be much more different than the current CS2D. I wanted to create something another, new, but they want to do the same sh*t like before. Nonsense.
