And since votes can be sabotaged thanks to proxies and stuff, like multiaccs and something like "Hay freind plez go press dis batton".
Also interesting part, DC visiting the site almost every day, and he know many people, so why should forum decide to choose a moderator? Whats the point? Moderator is moderator, he is doing his job no matter who he is.
And yes, bans would help.
Most important: Lead by example. If you don't like people calling you an idiot, don't call them an idiot. Don't respond to insults with insults. Before you write something, ask yourself if you would like someone writing that to you. This is especially important for moderators (I am not saying they are part of the problem, just that they should be extra careful since they are authorities). There will always be instigators, but you don't need to play along in their games. Delete flame posts/comments instead of just tagging them as rule violations. Garbage attracts more garbage. People get triggered when they get a visible reaction to their action. A button in each post/comment to report it if it violates the rules. Edit : Huh,that may sound retarded,but the only way to "fix" UnrealSoftware,is too close it. I am not saying that DC should do that,but if he will do something like that,he will have much more time for Stranded III or more updates. (inb4 shit storm,I guess? I am not saying him to do that.)
Also something like a function,that doesn't allows comment/rate for first 7 days. (I think,somebody already said that.)

I think he can. Because racism is a racism you know. For example - russians. There is too much russian dumb kids and whole forum thinks that russian are stupid. And if someone will say "russian people sucks" he will get temp ban anyway because he used that word to describe not those assholes, but whole country.
So if i say "Brazilian sucks" i may offend some normal and cool guys from that country.
