As for BF3 meh its a great game but there are loads of better more fun and more importantly free mods out there.

They didn't change things their fanbase asked (except for maybe the new setting).
The graphics got even worse (maybe because they use a new engine and they couldn't port good player models to it?).
It's gonna sell anyways, no matter what they put in it (which is just like many other good products with a good marketing campaign).
CoD has never been dead at all, they earned fucking millions with every game, and they come out every year. You call that dead?
Games like Duke Nukem got resurrected. Not CoD.

It always was great fun but they just never change a damn thing people actually want.
