Actually we're either forced to believe it due to that they put fear into us(not actually believing it, just the possibility that it "can happen" makes us non-sceptical about it and therefor don't wanna risk anything lol), or we don't really care (trying to ignore the problem). In my opinion, world will surely end - but it will when we will be long gone. At least our generation, so it's not our problem

Solar flares cannot destroy earth's magnetic field. It's impossible. The strength of magnetic waves emitted by the sun are not capable ( and never will be able to get strong enough to be capable ) of shifting earth's massive weight. The only way this could happen ( realistically ) is for the sun to super-nova, but if that happened we would all be long-gone before earth's magnetic field was shifted.
Interesting note ( for those of you who actually like science and physics
I doubt there are that many ) :The earth's magnetic pull is not possible to destroy, as the magnetic force/gravity created by the earth is there because of earth's mass.
Remember this equation?: F = G*M1*M2 / D^2
F is the force the gravity is putting upon us.
G is the universal gravitational constant ( i think it is, if I'm correct )
M1 and M2 are the mass of the two objects that are to be pulling one toward the other ( gravity, basically )
D is the distance between them.
