CS2D General What port do you have to forward What port do you have to forward
9 replies Help please..
I need help on which port to forward. The help thread it's usually 36963. But in the 'New Game' Slot its just 0 for me.
Then when I make a new game, i look at the console for my port. It's different everytime it happens.
Example:
Should i port forward 36963?
Or (example) port forward 52423 - 56043 since that is the common range for an me. (example only)
Thanks I think you might wanna port-forward the port you are using for server hosting. When clicking New Game you can enter any port you want at the Port (UDP) input field.
You have to port forward the port you enter there.
But only port 36963 works at LAN Games. oh ok.. thx
so i port forward 36963? since this is a lan game isnt it? When you want your server to be visible in your local area network - use port 36963. If you don't want your server to be visible in your local network, use any port except for 36963. i want it to be in the server list, so i dont port forward 36963?
i dont want it to be in lan..
thx for help so far. if you want it to be in the serverlist, just forward any port. If you want it to be in the serverlist AND in your local network, forward 36963. Oh ok tnx
ill just do 36963 then..
and i heard thers a waiting time when u use the dedicated program, a waiting time to get it out of lan.. to the serverlist.
is it true?
tnx DC Admin Online
there actually shouldn't be a waiting time but some people are reporting that their server needs a long time to be saved in the list.
I'm investigating this issue. Ok DC. Thanks for the help all. I'm gonna try to host a server.
