The rank is calculated in a percentage, if you do a hundred kills and die a few times that will affect your rank. Your statistics are calculating your Kills and Deaths basicly and judging your skill ingame.

the value for the rank-sorting is calculated this way:
Score+Frags-Deaths

score contains the frags and additional score for domination, bomb planting/defusing etc.
however the frags/kills value is added to the score so frags count twice (=more important for ranking than normal score points).

you could also express it that way:

(Frags*2)+OtherScore-Deaths

(the guy with the highest result calculated with this formula has rank 1 of course)

people without USGN login do not have a rank (because a USGN ID is required for rank data allocation)

however even interactions with people who are not logged in change the rank of people who are logged in. it still counts when someone without USGN login kills you or when you kill someone who is not logged in.
