CS2D General Horde Mode?

9 Antworten Or something along those lines. I know DC is a very busy man, but since there's a project thread, I thought why not? I was thinking something like Horde mode for Gears of War or Nazi Zombies for CoD5. Waves of incoming AI while the players are defending a spot near the center. I just gained a recent addiction to these types of game modes. If not, could a mode like this be done just by using Lua? If so and this idea is turned down, I gotta learn to use Lua... instead of Posting and begging DC to make some screwed modes, you should code them by yourself, or even ask one of the modders for CS2D. posting it in the Unreal Software Projects forum is like saying "DC, do it!" (because this forum is for Unreal Software projects only). I won't do it and I assume that you didn't want say that.
therefore moved to CS2D. Wouldn't actually refer to it as begging for some screwed up mode. It was a slight misunderstanding, please forgive me. Anyways, since DC has answered, would this be possible with Lua? 'Cause I don't know much about it, but thinking about getting into it. DC Admin Offline
probably yes - but it would be VERY complicated. especially because you would have to check the collision of shots (and other damage sources) with the enemies yourself.
however it's not totally impossible that I'll add AI characters (besides the regular player bots) later. this would make it rather easy. Not totally impossible? I'll just take that as a yes and wait for the AI Characters to be released, even if it takes months =p
Plus you could also do a bunch of other fun crap with AI Characters... By AI(Artificial Intelligence) do you mean people that are like bots but there nutrual characters? I'm assuming that's what DC means. i think that AI would help a LOT for modding for games like l4d and that :S Yeh it definitely would be a lot of help.
