These likes don't mean anything. It's simple - if you like something, you can mark that you like it. You don't have to go so far so as to stop 'liking' files just because there are other ways to express your opinion. GeoB99: the greenish thingies are the only reason some of us are uploading stuff, so if you apreciate the effort he's put into this, also helping the community by increasing the overall quality, and if it doesn't really mean anything to you, give him the like? 
Masea: Unfortunately, I stopped giving likes and I only express my opinion (if I like it or not) in words. If I want to be honest these green(-ish) likes are pointless, they are like Internet Points. Although, sometimes it can be useful to sort the files on F.A. but that depends though, so we can go to other requirements to check if a file is bad or not. GeoB99: And where is your like?
