• Hitmarker •

It seems no one has done such a simple script before. And because I hate it when I have no idea if I'm hitting someone or not from a far distance I decided to make it.

• The lower the enemy's health, the redder the marker gets.
• Random rotation.
• Nice little spot above your head.

• How to install: •

1) Place hit_marker.png in the gfx/yates/lua folder. Create one if not already made.
2) Place the lua file in sys/lua and add in the server.lua file;

The first hit is barely visible. I must agree that this wouldn't be the perfect thing to put on a standard server. But it is good for a Zombie server and random fun servers that people seem to like.

nice script =D

@chex there is already a hit sound in cs2d, but it is hard to hear because majority of weapons have louder audio than hitsound. Try to use silenced weapons and make a hit, you will hear a sound of a weapon and hitsound.

I wasn't asking for a hit sound, I know how to script. I was just saying I would personally use a hitsound over a hit marker. It's sometimes called "Feedback".

That's handy. I think that hitsounds are a bit more natural though, as it would be more subconcious than "HERES A MARK TO TELL IF YOU HIT".

But yeah that's just my opinion, and I guess anyone could make a hitsound script for themselves.
