100mb/s is enough. a small and normal vserver has 100mb/s in the most times.

but notice:

my wlan says that i have 11mb/s. thats shit! thats only the speed that the stick CAN have. your wlan stick is only one part of your connection.

your real internet speed at home will never be 100mb/s upload. if you have a realy realy good internet you may have about 200 kb/s upload.
i got DSL 6000 and i have upload about 70-90 kb/s

Is this your house or a dedicated-/v-server? If it is a dedicated- or v-server, then yes, it should be fine. But if you are hosting from your home, you may find that the 100MB/s is only local and pings could soar very high. If you are hosting from home, bandwidth is also very much a concern, unless you have an unmetered connection that has no AUP.

vetle it seems that you mean that it is the connection that you have at home. if yes:

dont buy optional internet with 100mb/s only for cs2d servers. buy a small vserver. its cheaper. and 24/7 online. LEARN first how to use linux and youre fine

I got Wireless and ADSL Broadband 100mb/s connection combined while I'm on the PC so I get around 220.00 KB/s (1.76 Mbps) download speed and 325.00 KB/s (0.26 Mbps) upload speed. Not the fastest net I ever used but my inet is still pretty "buffed" sort of say because I send and receive packets on both of these connections so that's great.

I can easily host a server for CS2D or even Cstrike. I ran a dedicated hltv server yesterday actually with acceptable pings.

user Vetle has written
@PyroCracker In my country 100mb/s internet is cheaper than a vserver lol..

i dont mean only the money for the internet. i mean the money for electricity, too.

and you have 24/7 online with a vserver....
and think about the place that a pc takes
and think about what you cant do with your pc when you run a dedicated server all the time (start other programs can force laggs)

all together, a vserver is the smarter version
