Try to re-install/re-download CS2D, both the selfextracting version and the winRAR version and see if the problem still occurs.

I also wrote it into the german part of the forum, but i wasnt sure if it was cause of a airstrike.
It happened by me allready sometimes...
On the 2d-Action Gungame server (actually its gg_boxworld). - Thats the GG with the special Lua (Flamethrower, Laser, Airstrike and so on...)
Now i was playing for testing this bug again.
That happened: We played normal. When i joined this game, the best was leading on lvl 6.
I startet with glock (as usually) and played up to Lvl 6 (i think, thats m3 or xm1014.
Then the leader was on air-strike lvl.
He throw one airstrike in the middle of the map and for testing, i ran to one corner of the map (a bit away). I could hear the explosion, but not see it.
Allthing was normal.
Leader was allready nextl lvl, but someone other also had airstrike and throw it into the middle part (middle of the map) again.
Now, for testing, i stood next to the airstrike and bevore it explodes, the game got an error - black screen and "Fehlermeldung" (fault message).
No Bots.
I was terrorist!
I was normal client.
I was logged in in usgn

btw... this also happened on one special zombie map
Is there a way how to fix it?Or must we wait for the next version?

this is a known problem. reasons are unknown and I didn't manage to reproduce this problem to fix it yet.

Workaround
download the missing Air Strike HUD icon
or
turn off the setting "use image for death notices"
When does the bug appear?
This bug only occours under the following conditions:
a) The setting "use image for death notices" is turned on
b) There is no file named "gfx/weapons/airstrike_k.bmp" (which is the case in the default installation)
If both conditions are given, the game crashes every time somebody gets killed by an Air Strike.
If I start CS2D from the console, it prints "Segmentation Fault" on the console.
I use the Linux version.
Possible causes
I am sure this is all caused because there is no HUD image for the Air Strike. If I have the unofficial Air Strike HUD icon, this bug does never occour and seem to be fixed. If I haven't, it occours.
Maybe CS2D tries to load a picture which does not exist because such a image is needed for the deathlog. But I can't verify that because CS2D is closed-source.
Bug fix
I suggest to add an icon for the Air Strike (like this) in the next version.

what a shame. I actually added a check so the game displays texts instead if the images are not available - however this code had a bug (which has been fixed now)...
I need to do much more testing I guess.
I'll download now.
