THE WEEPING ANGELS MOD
a Counter-Strike 2D mod by EngiN33R

The Weeping Angels mod brings the mechanics behind one of the most disturbing Doctor Who
monsters into CS2D. The Weeping Angels are represented by the Terrorist team. They cannot
move as long as they are in the field of view of an enemy and close enough to them. The
field of view is the fog of war visibility arc by default, however it can be configured
by changing the default variable value. The Weeping Angels cannot be killed; however,
unlike in Doctor Who, they cannot kill an enemy by simply touching them once - CS2D's
damage mechanics apply.

The mod introduces two custom gamemodes. The Survival gamemode is self-explanatory - the
survivors on the Counter-Terrorist team have to stay alive long enough. In the Escape
gamemode, the survivors have to find the TARDIS and get into it (step on the tile it is
on) to win. Unless spawn positions have been specified manually, the TARDIS will spawn on
a random position on the map. Certain tile frames on a map can be excluded, such as frame
0 that is generally outside the map bounds, and certain zones can be excluded also. Once
all survivors have entered the TARDIS, the round ends in the survivors' favour.

Both modes work optimally when the server runs CS2D's Standard gamemode and when a timer
is in place. The timer is based on the CS2D round time, which is set using the
mp_roundtime command in the console or server.cfg, or in the "Time per Round" field under
the Settings tab in the New Game window.

Other settings and variables are documented directly in the code and are not included in
this readme file. A simpler and abridged version of this readme file, as well as the
latest copy of the mod, are available online on the File Archive entry page on Unreal
Software.

Don't blink.
