Hey guys is there a program that blocks adverts? Because sometimes they are laggy and some of them are viruses. If you accidentaly click one...you get it!

duh, if you use google toolbar on your browser with IE you might suceed in blocking'em
But, from own experience, i know that when they appear 5-6 at same time, it lags proposterously for a 1-2 second.
ahwell, mozzila firefox blocks them too.

errrm skiper. i think that you've understood wrong. I meant the adverts on websites and not the pop up windows. there is a difference. For example you see on the right side of the window a picture with screensavers. you click it and bang you're directed to a website full of viruses.

yeah right. spybot s&d is great but its not an advert blocker. it only removes adware&spyware from your pc. and do not block ad from websites, like google ads.

AdBlock Plus is really awesome and in addition it's really customizable. You can choose your own ad filter list, manually block individual flash applets or images which get on your nerves

AdBlock Plus blocked approximately 12000 ads so far on my machine and I never see anything, except those project wonderful ads, I think I'll make a regex for them...

EDIT: Well, I managed to get rid of Project Wonderful, too. I just added a filter rule for "http://www.projectwonderful.com/nojs.php"
For JavaScript block, add a rule for "http://www.projectwonderful.com/gen.php"

Yes, but what SilentControl looked for was an advertisment filter not a popup blocker.
