I've always rushed when I am in a vulnerable position, usually hides behind crates.

Because I know I'll be dead anyways, when people team on me. It takes three unskilled players to kill me usually and one skilled player to kill me usually, lol. but CS2D is really luck based and skilled based. None the less, it's based on your internet connection. If you have a really laggy modem for example... you'll get fragged. If you have a really godlike connection there's no way you can lose.

I think it also depends on what OS(Operating system) your using too. I heard that Windows 98 versions are better to play CS2D on, rather than Vista. But it stays as a myth or a theory for now.

Here's my result, lol.
Old and slow computers increases vulnerability.
New and fast computers decreases vulnerability.

The internet connection is the thing that needs to get better. For better gameplay, you need more RAM aswell usually more than 256MB RAM is needed. You also need free disk space.

Did you ask me or Redemption?

Well. From my experience of playing CS2D in four years, that's what I've come up with. In other words... "Frag not lagg." lol.

I run CS2D fine with Windows XP.
The lower FPS (Frames Per Second) you've got the more you will lag and there is also a theory that you will shoot slower thus players with higher FPS have an advantage over you. My FPS is 49 and thats like the highest in the game, I've seen nobody with a FPS higher then that.

Here's a tip, play a quick bot game and open the console and type in "net_graph" and look at the bottom right, you will this black thing with your FPS displayed, if your FPS is lower then 49 then try to turn off VSync in the options menu, somehow it increases my FPS, because if I turn on VSync, my FPS goes down to 30 or so.

how fast cs2d runs mainly depends on how good your graphics card is.
generally nvidia graphic cards are better for cs2d than ati. often it also makes sense to install older graphic card drivers, specially with ati graphic cards.
you dont need much ram at all, i think cs2d takes around 30 mb of ram, so 128mb should be enough, but usually if you have 128mb ram the rest of your computer isnt very good. you dont need much hard disc space either, if you have 1 gb free, you got more than enough of space
i dont know much how the cpu changes the performance, but i think if it's over 1.8 ghz it doesnt make much difference anymore.
vsync should always be disabled it only makes the game look slightly better but takes a lot of performance.
i think the best os is xp, because you just got more options for drivers, settings, hardware.
i also heard some people with some graphic cards walk faster than with others. on my really old computer with 128mb win98 and old directx version you could see people through fog. i haven't ever heard of anyone who had any advantages on vista and often people seem to have trouble on vista with starting cs2d.
and of course the connection does matter quite a lot, but if your ping is under 60 it doesnt make much difference anymore

Me too XP is good but Vista normally isnt good for your computer unless you have 2-3GB for Vista... Hoping Windows Vienna does better in '09

You're talking about FPS.
CPU is actually the main thing.. but i don't think people have under 1Ghz anymore, mostly duo's or P4's.
But i remember that Cs2d ran fine on my 200Mhz 4 years ago.

old Connection

I think the connection plays a big part then, since I have a 7,2 Mbit/s connection right now, and I am used to 100,0 Mbit/s connections. I have to say I lagg lots. I have a processor of 1,6 GHz (approximately: 1700 MHz) and 149 GB hard drive. So it all pretty much depends on the internet.

That explains why I get mega lagg playing on a CS:S server.

100,0 Mbit/s is what I used 2 years ago when I played CS2D. That is my recommended internet connection for CS2D.

Let me explain, Diamond, and for anyone else questions my tactics

You are in flank. You are behind a box. Fog of War is not on. You are in TGV server or ACID or Storm server, where there is money. You see one enemy -- BUT YET! THEN! you see three more following him.

Okay, this is what this particular point that I mentioned was about(btw, you took one point, out of all my help, and attacked it). I quote:

"You don't have to fight every enemy you see. Sometimes, it is best to flee with your life and regroup with your team, and also make sure that you alert your team of the increased enemy presence. The best players know when to leave a fight."

There are four Terro and you're CT. You're alone. Now, this would be the best time to just retreat and regroup with your team. You may want to hit "Regroup Team" command. or "Enemy Spotted".

If your friends are close by, "Need Backup" and you might be able to take them on.

** But my point is, it's totally stupid to try and take on 4 Enemies at once. The best players know when to walk away, and if you watch closely, many know when to pick a fight and when not tous

Yes, but there's no way you killed 5 people with full health. Most of them surely had under 50.

Not everyone in this game is RAMBO, Sylvester Stallone. This ain't Halo, Metal Gear Solid Everyone has equal health, and you must work as a team to win√

And this DON'T mean trying to take on 4 AK-47 fire with 1 M4A1! Edited: Especially when the AK-47 do more damage anyway

Myself, I actually play better solo than in a team. Usually if my team is too terrified to move into battle, might as well take action yourself. It would always help to shoot in straight aways just in case the enemy is there.

Also, a good way of training on your aim is to train on bots in an open map like stranded, you vs 6, bot skill: newbie. It may not seem as much of a challenge to you, but it can really increase your accuracy of hitting the opponent.
