ab6100 you can breed kiwis, i think you "unlock" the building at some hunter level, but I'm not sure
I also read that if you get 2 sheep inside an enclosure they breed, but I've not done this yet

Play the random maps!

bug: If you squeeze leaves into a bucket, you get also 1 liver with water in your inventory, even if you don't have any livers

about the kiwi "spawning", Builder could you make it so that they spawn right next to the building? I have a small enclosure around it, and sometimes they spawn outside it

also, what's with the flying sharks? I thought I could spear one to death, but instead they start hovering around =|
last but not least, how do you make more stuff with clay? Like pots

EDIT: giraffefountain just use the U key, or change it in Controls (2), it picks up cooked meat too

So, having played this mod extensively, I Came up with a couple thoughts/ideas for improvement. But rather than just list what I think are good ideas, I actually went ahead and implemented them, modding this mod, you could say.

What I mainly focused on are what seems like logical consistency, adding some uses for otherwise useless items, and creating just a few more things to do during the late game. Also some new and creative ways to create a couple items.

Its really all very simple, and works within what is already established for MM. It adds a couple new weapons to play with. I have tested all new additions/changes completely to ensure that they're working correctly.

And without further ado, the file.
http://www.mediafire.com/?vr5r02tdeqit830

Installation: Just unzip into the /mods/massive mod directory, and overwrite the files.

EDIT:

Version 2 of this addon has now been finished. It adds more depth to already-implemented features.

And the file:

Just extract it into the /mods/massive mod/ directory.

Whenever you leave the mine you lose over over 50% of your Max health so that if you use the mine twice without healing you emerge to the "you are dead" screen

Heres and interesting question, if there is only 1 lion rock on an island and it says Maxlions=1 Lionsperday=1 and there are only 2 placed lions on the island how do you end up with upwards of 10 lions on the island?

If I remember correctly, builder added the ability for animals to reproduce so long as there is another nearby.

Unless both of those placed lions are killed, they will breed with each other or the spawned one and endlessly produce more lions.

Oh, that makes sense he is going to have to find a way to put some Maxlimits on breeding because Seagulls, Parrots, Snails, Lions, Kiwis and Monkeys in infinite numbers tend to take my FPS down to 5

Perhaps if animals had to eat something in order for them to breed meat,berries,grain that way there can only be as many animals as the mapmaker/player desires

I also noticed that when using the mine you will lose an item in a certain slot of your inventory and that if you use a health potion just before using the mine (necessary if you want to live through it) you get infinite healing on the other side

You have to use try to "use" the spring once and after you fail it unlocks the water pump under production in the build menu.

However, to build the pump it takes 12 batches of nails instead of the completed nails, figured I'd let you know Builder

Edit: Rather than double posting I'll just edit

I was trying to make steel with great difficulty. I tried several things. First I tried having Coal dust in my hand and right clicking during each phase of the making process(regular, red hot, soft). During the red hot phase it would make a fizzle sound but nothing else happened and neither did anything happen in the other phases.

Next, I tried throwing it which worked, but very ineffectively. I set 30 iron on the forge and let it get red hot. I then proceeded to throw the coal dust on it, but had discovered that my entire stack of 60 dust was used in one toss. After removing fuel and letting it cool I discovered that one piece had been turned to soft steel while I also had 29 pieces of soft iron. Is there a proper way I should be doing it? Or just put one piece and use one dust at a time?

(Also, neither Coal dust nor any steel items are collected with the pick-up button.)

I've been peeking the code, and fixed both the nails that Mesarobert pointed, and the liver creation with leaves + bucket

Nails - Go to \mods\Massive Mod\sys and open buildings.inf
locate the second Water Pump and change

1
req=4859,12

to

1
req=4850,16

now it will require 16 finished nails

-------------------------------------

Extra Liver - Go to \mods\Massive Mod\sys and open combinations_potions.inf
locate (30xLeaf + Bucket) almost at the end of the file, and delete the lines

1
2
$id=create("item",4949,0,0,1);
store $id,"unit",1;

Builder please add this fixs to the next release

EDIT: I've been trying to fix the potato bug, but I don't how to test it, since I've yet to find a potato on an island, so please somebody test this
the script for planting the potato plant is missing a line, maybe that´s it

on game.inf file, look for Potatoe Bush
under the line $id=create etc should be other line with
1
event "plant","object",$id;
at least it's under all the other scripts

it should look like this
1
2
3
$id=create("object",4940,$x,$z);
event "plant","object",$id;
process "planting potatoes",3000;

EDIT2: alright I found how to test it. The line above was in fact missing, without it the potatoe plant started in it's full size, and probably other things I dont know
I just copied this script from Grain on objects_stuff.inf

on objects_bushes.inf look for Spawn Potatoe and change
1
2
3
4
on:kill {
		create "item",4941,getx("self"),getz("self"),3;
		corona getx("self"),getz("self");
		}

to

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
on:kill {
		$tmp=1;
		$tmp2=spawntimer("self");
		if ($tmp2>-3){$tmp=2;}
		if ($tmp2>=0){$tmp=3;}
		create "item",4941,getx("self"),getz("self"),$tmp;
		corona getx("self"),getz("self");
		freevar $tmp,$tmp2;
		}

it should now spawn 1 potato if killed right away, like grain.
also in the lines above, it was missing a "growtime= X", which I copied too from grain, but I don't really know if it's used for anything
under "mat=leaf" add a new line "growtime= 5"

I hope this helps Builder!

I don't know either, let me look at this one more time:

The fix that is listed on page 67, which numerous people have said 'fixes the bug' is:
if (((getplayervalue(2)<80)+(getplayervalue(3)<80))>0){

Presumably this means that if either the player's hunger, or thirst, is under 80 then.... I have no idea. Let's see, the last if, the important one, is >0. This means that the script only runs if either of the previous values add up to 1 or 2. So you can only sleep if you are either not hungry, not thirsty, or not hungry or thirsty. Interestingly enough, that isn't how this script should work.

Now, the way the script was arranged before was:
if (((getplayervalue(2)>80)+(getplayervalue(3)>80))>0){
This should mean that if hunger, or thirst, is over 80 (read; in the red), they... Well, that's obviously not right either.

Alright, I don't know why people said the fix on page 67 is what you needed to do, because that just breaks the script even more. Give me a couple minutes to figure out how to re-arrange this script so it actually does what it should.

All the change does is make it so that you can sleep as long as your hunger / thirst are both under 80. The reason for this is that if they are higher you will likely take a good bit of damage. The way the code had it you had to be at dangerous levels of hunger and thirst to sleep and this caused issues.

Wow... I'm little bit suprised about that it works...! I'm don't playing with builders mod... (maybe I should... meanwhile there are a few updates anyway - and I like builder's hardiness on working on this mod ^_^) Just checked new posts in forum here, read your problem, read the thread title... That's it!

Guys... learning to read may solve many problems in your life!
