I'm having a hard time playing this mod. Mostly i die on the second or third day because of starvation.
In the story levels i lived from monkeys by throwing spears at them, but here they are so hard to make! I mostly play the mountain map, but i find it so hard to live there! And i have no idea where the mine is.

How do you guys play in the beginning?
On what map?
And more info about the mine please? :/.

YOU will be able to build mine when your mining skill will high

And? What about the other 2 questions?

EDIT: Ok. I suck. Tried 7 times, my record was day 4.

I need a weapon that is durable ( or can BECOME durable ( etc. training a skill)) that can kill monkeys. Monkeys were always my main food rescourse. But if anyone else has tips... i'd like to hear 'em ^^.

Just a few things Ive been rolling over in the head for a bit...
Semi-official request for MM:

Small tree house - something same-tier as the shelter, but takes branches and vines instead of leaves, and is obviously in a tree

Stone wall - same length as palisade wall, but slightly shorter and thicker, possibly with an area to stand on the inside to attack from

Stone gate with wooden door - good way to make use of those iron rods in something other than tools

Stone tower - doesn't attack on its own, just a higher point from which to attack than a wall, maybe with steps up from the ground, or up from the height of the stone wall walking area

Stone hut/house - larger than the wood house, maybe even with a light source and campfire/wooden grill built in that can be fueled and lit

Windmill - slowly pumps water up from underground, creating an infinite, albeit very slowly regenerating water supply / OR / creates an infinite supply of grain so long as X plants of wheat are planted within a certain distance of the building

Ladder - leaning at an angle, on use teleports you to top of the ladder

Wooden or stone stairs - self explanatory

Bridges, small [rope/vine and wood] and large [wood and stone] - just simple bridges that span x distance. longer than the pier sections

Building platform - made out of wood or stone, makes a flat section of terrain than can be built upon (I often use storages like this, except they cant be built on)

Water tower - takes forever to build and fill up, but can store a lot of water later in the game (again, a good use for those iron bars)

Recipe book - notates everything you have made so far and the ingredients required to do so (takes charcoal and paper or something). Alternatively, can this just be an option in the existing journal?

Perhaps trees drop more logs when you cut them down to accommodate for the extra costs of building stuff?

Tools and weapons more durable? I'm sick of em breaking on the third or fourth use every time. I didn't just forge these things out of pure lead here...

For tools and weapon durability you should make it like that different tools made of different material should have different durability
like a rock and stick would create a weak and unstable hammer which could even fall off by walking
and a hammer with vine, rock and hammer wont break so often but still is less durable
and the hammer with Iron, nails, glue, cloth, vine and log would be impossible to break

I've got a problem, it hasn't rained in ages and all the wells are dry. I've got plenty of bottles of water but because the wells are dry I can't forge anything, can't fill my bucket, or make bendable branches. All my fishing poles are broken so I have to wait for it to rain to be able to fish again or forge. I can't use my bottles of water to fill my bucket or to fill a well. Is there another way to fill my bucket with water or to make a bendable branch. Because playing the game waiting for it to rain is a bore. Maybe a rain dance should be integrated into the game!

P.S. when I say well, I mean rock with indentation for water not a well like in previous games. In this mod you can't make proper wells anymore.

I think if you dig on top of the well, you can get it back to water

Builder added that function into the latest version, but made a mistake so you can only fill unfired clay buckets, this has been fixed for the next version, so you'll have to wait.

Unless you fix it yourself in the combinations_potions file like I did

hazy707 you are briljant, thanks!!!
I've never changed anything in a mod before but now I can fill my buckets with water. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

P.S. I have some problems with the mine. When I enter the mine I sometimes lose inventory, like copper or wood etc.. And also my hunger and thirst reset when I enter and leave the mine. Time seems to go slower in the mine too, which is anoying because I can't seem to get anything to cool down after using the forge. And last but not least, the pickaxe breaks way to often. I go into the mine with 10 pickaxes and I barely get anywhere even though I have a skill of over 3000 in mining.

Actually I have a week and a half long vacation starting... Today. So there might be an update.

EDIT: Also, I read this thread quite often.

Builder, i'm quite happy about that .
I don't really mind what you do, but, improving it is always better =).

EDIT: By the way, the burn fix file on filesdropper doesn't work. Whenever i click the link it goes to homepage. Also, i can't change the scripts because i need some sort of program... but i don't know what kind of program :(.

Basically my plan is to finish up everything I had been doing before I stopped a few months ago, then look over the past few pages of this thread and double check that I've already fixed the bugs reported, then release.

Could you give us a 'sneak peak' ( or however you call it ) of the next change log? I prefer bug fixes to sneak peak at then updates :D.

@demochi: if your wanting to change the scripts you could just use notepad.. right click> open with..> whatever version of notepad you have

@micron: once the iron is red hot, turn of the forge (right click> take out all the fuel) should work

great mod btw, the more i play it the more stuff i find
id really like to help if you need a hand builder,,

Hey Builder, sorry to be clogging up your thread with more hopeless posts but I just wanted to say something.

I'm not sure if you remember me, I was around when you first started MM, I just relogged in to say this. I just wanted to say, I admire you, what you've done with this game is really amazing, I remember when people were saying people could never get mining animations working and you found a way, and when all thos errors were popping up in the first MM versions and you put in all the work to fix them. Respect man

Nice to see people giving Builder some respect rather than complaints. I completely agree. This particular mod has draw a lot of attention to Stranded II, so thanks for showing what the internal scripting language is capable of. Nice work Builder. Keep it up.
