The open-source project originated from within Mozilla.
For quite a while I thought of using this software to control a house in CS2D.
So here it is, a smart home in CS2D, controllable with real-world software.

WebThings supports rules that allow you to automate your house.
For example, it can turn on the lights, when the entrance door is opened.

It would be quite fun to have a happy town server offer this to its players.
WebThings is based on an open, upcoming standard "Web of Things".
That brings plenty of compatible software which players could use for a more immerse game.
