You can host a MC server on that, but note that it may be very slow or have a poor connection.

Each player on a MC server uses at least 200mb of RAM (MC sucks that way). So your server may not even be able to cope a lot of players, including the fact that Windows already takes up an insane amount of RAM.

Simply put, if you want a server which can handle a lot of players and will run decently, your server is not up for it. Yet if you're simply playing with a couple of friends without a lot of mods then you will be fine.

If you have legit Minecraft then use online mode, if you use cracked then use offline mode + Hamachi.

The IP they need is your IPv4 you can easily get it from cmd or from http://www.unrealsoftware.de/usgn.php?s=ip

Give them the IP and if they are smart enough they will be able to connect, otherwise you need to port forward.

This is definitely not the case in my experience. I've hosted a 5-10 player Minecraft server with 768MB of RAM allocated to it and had no problems. That being said, it was vanilla Minecraft with very little redstone.

Over 200+ mods and around the same amount of players. That's the result I got

Mind you this was years back. Maybe MC finally decided to give more information on server hosting (back then there was none).

• Edit: By the way - 200+ mods on a Minecraft server is actually not a lot. Once you install one mod you are dependent on 10 others, so this goes fairly quickly.

There're thousands of tutorials out there on how to setup a Minecraft server. You don't need a server management system like Multicraft.
And it will not be slow whatsoever. 7 Mbps uplink is also enough for a 5-8 players.
