@user ohaz: Didn't windows stop supporting Windows XP last year but I'll definitely look into right now. @user F4k3r: @user DatRat:

Edit: I ran the game in WinXP Sp3 mode on my school computer and it worked fine. I dunno if the way I took it was indirect but, it seemed okay. Either it's the specs or you have to manually edit the settings in the property section.

@user Greenhawk: The end life-cycle of Windows XP such as technical support or updates hasn't to do with this problem at all, at least not directly. Some people are still using this OS though.

@user F4k3r / @user DatRat: Click the right mouse button on Black Ops 2D executable file, go to Proprieties > Compatibility and select the specific compatibility mode which it fits within your current OS. This would probably solve your problem.

@user GeoB99: Hmm.. I just wasn't sure. I guess it's no one's fault but mine then. But it should work with all windows systems thanks to the help of ZxC. Did you get the chance to play it man?

I'd wish to but I am using a Linux distro (Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon) at the moment. I could use Wine emulator for that but I am kinda lazy to configure some modules to make it work.

If you could compile the source code of your game for Linux platforms, it'd be great and the penguin Tux would be thankful.

It has little to do with compatibility, Windows XP just does not recognise this executable as a valid one, which is most certainly a Game Maker issue and how it does save the project into the .exe.

I would love too, but it costs extra money for the Linux module for Game Maker: Studio.

@user 4Vendetta: Yeah you're the panda dude who helped me find GFX skins way back when

@user VADemon: Okay then

What are the main differences from your previous project?
As I do not see a visual difference - same skins, same tiles, same elementary particles, same weak AI, same lack of multiplayer, and so on. I'm certainly glad that you do not stop your efforts to make top down shooter, but you did not initially correct approach to its creation.

I didn't work on the ai in this update. I just added a few new features to the menu, a few new skins and new abilities. It's atill in the experimental stage. Just testing things out. Butbalso remember, it's still in the alpha/debug stage. Also, did you even check out my itchio page with the new update?

And @user vuenxx: That's weird it should work for Windows 7. It works on other win7 platforms, i believe. It may be either the graphics card, ram or the direct3d driver. You may have to redownload direct3d 9x?

old Bug :/
