Today, my cousin just used my (secondary) laptop to watch films until the battery reaches 6%, so I charged that laptop.

Now the problem starts
because it has separate keyboard, the lights on the keyboard (there's only 1, the touchpad button which indicates if the touchpad is on or off) starts flashing and I can hear clicks in the keyboard. I think if I remove the keyboard, it solves it but it doesn't. (it sounds like restart loop)

Next
Tonight, I decided to turn it on to copy some files to it, but well, it no longer turn on. Tired holding the power button but not works. I also try to force reboot with Win+Power but it also doesn't work, so I unplugged the charger. I turn it on again and it says "Battery is under 5%. System will shutdown in 3 seconds..." and it turns off back. I'm start to thinking that it doesn't charging, so I try same procedure but I heard clicks again, exactly same as above.

So,
I think the battery was completely depleted, but it can be other factor. And possiblity related to the problem while it turned on where it doesn't charging at all since I upgraded it to Windows 10.

My laptop is Acer One 10 with Windows 10. Also with separated keyboard.

Any thoughts?

It may be your battery, man. I had a similar problem where when i would unplug my charger, it would shut off completely. So i had to keep it plugged in tk function, until i got a new battery, of course. So yeah my reccomendation is to get a new laptop battery. Check the charger as well. Is it bent up or anything?

Take out your battery. Turn it on connected with the power supply only. It'll run nevertheless.

Next go to your settings and disable whatever is triggering "Battery is under 5%. System will shutdown in 3 seconds...".

^Your first step.

The charger was ok, so I think something is wrong with the laptop.

Not possible, because the battery is sealed inside and there's no way I can open it. Also there's no option in the UEFI/BIOS to turn that battery warning thing.

So, it was boot up last night, but with 9% battery, so I shut it down again and I'm getting same problem again. Now no more clicks but it completely not turn on (no clicks, no hard drive activity in the separated keyboard).

It maybe not an option since it would take a long time by using the warranty, but I want to use it for new year.

Anyway, looks like it was caused by the temperatures over here, it can reach 18 degree celcius at night, so maybe that's the problem. I'm no longer hear clicks so I hope it's charging.

That's the joke.

I don't understand why it isn't charging though. It should charge by itself when you plug it in, I don't think it has anything to do with the operating system. Perhaps it's the power cable?

The power cable is perfectly fine. I try to plug the charger to my phone for a second and my phone responds to "charging" state.

@user apex2d: Do you use exactly same model of my laptop that I mentioned above?

@user MikuAuahDark: So either your phone is a god damn monster that's 10m tall or the charger is too weak for the notebook. Notebook chargers usually deliver 12V that would fry your phone pretty fast.

I have 3 laptops; one bought for scholarship money, two bought on sales(about 25% of the actual price). It's not always about politicians but about being a smartass ;-;

@topic: I had similiar problem with my old laptop. I got a new charger and everything was alright then. If the charger is okay, try to put a new battery. I also recommend visiting the service because installing Adobre Reader won't help here.

10-15seconds basicly drains all the power on laptop

Plugging it in for a second is okay right? and the charger plug model uses Micro USB model so I try it and my phone responds to "charging" state.

I don't think putting new battery is possible as the battery is sealed inside.

I think the puprose of holding the power button for 10-15 sec is to force it to turn off.

@user MikuAuahDark: Just try what @user apex2d: said, It could work or not, every suggestion that you think that may work just try it..

I suggest you to remove that battery, fight with it.. Even if the battery is sealed inside, just deal with it.

You could even just try searching in google for some solutions.

I already do that, not work.

I don't want risk it being completely bricked (and voiding the warranty). If I choose between open the battery or take it to the service, I prefer take it to the services.

I already do that yesterday. No luck (also tired to take a look at Acer forum)

Anyway, it looks like completely not turn on anymore. I think my last chance is to take it to the service center.

@user MikuAuahDark: What's better? Paying much, paying less? I prefer paying less for a battery instead of giving it to people to fix it.. I once gave to a person my computer to fix it.. It's took like 1 month just to fix the motherboard.

If you remove the actual battery and get a new one. It's 100% less time and 80% less money, if you take it to the services then you'll just wait like months/years, weeks.

Well, here's a quick solution then.

Acer computers solution >

You're forced to remove the battery if you want to make your computer work.

2nd solution for acer computers >

I had an acer computer for 3 weeks, Didn't HAD 1 virus in it and it stopped working, Never get Acer computers. They're bad computer providers.

I prefer safe way rather than breaking something inside.

Did you bring it to the service center?

1. Remove the ram sticks (Clean with a soft lint free cloth while they are out)

Not possible. The RAM also sealed inside (along with the processor and the battery).

user Inflexion has written

I don't think there will be a suitable battery for my laptop.

I think I agree about this. I have an Axioo laptop (that I used to write this now and my primary laptop) and it works without any problems (running Windows 8.1, even they are actually unsupported). No blue screen no errors, just a little lag because the harddisk getting older. The age is almost 6 years now. The thing that replaced is only the cable that connects to the screen and the RAM.
