Well, I do not participate much of the forum (or other communities made by unreal software), but I believe it should be an area for support (similar to areas in English and Geman) for the Brazilian and Portuguese.

Why do this? Simple: Of all the downloads CS2D, over 1 MILLION is from Brazil (-> http://www.baixaki.com.br/download/counter-strike-2d.htm)
In Stranded II, already had more than 197,493 downloads made by Brazilians too (-> http://www.baixaki.com.br/download/stranded-ii.htm)
(I did not find many other statistical power to demonstrate. But there must be at least 1,000 downloads made by Brazilians).

So I believe it is necessary to support an area for those who speak Portuguese. For most of those Brazilians who have downloaded the games I mentioned above, most do not speak English, so it is difficult to use these support in English (for me for example, is pretty hard, and I'm using google translator to write '- ')

Well, that's it. I hope the suggestion is accepted ...

Why is this pointless idea in Projects?

So far, Unrealsoftware won't do other languages for forum.
And if there will be any for Brazilians, then Turks would want that too, and in that time there would appear tons of random and pointless shit.

Sorry, it's just my opinion. I don't like the idea itself, so beware of some bitching like I am racist or whatever.

write your idea in this thread us Ideas For UnrealSoftware Site If you want Support to this website,or to a game, can you use the FAQ's. or you sent a Privat Message to DC he will help you, if you have any qeustions, or problems. a area for the other countrys makes not sense im my opinion

And your Question is already anwsered.

There won't be additional languages for the forum/file archive! The complexity of all this would be too insane and I wouldn't be able to check user created contents myself and I'm the one who is responsible for everything. So this is absolutely no option.

The only compromise which would come into question would be to provide the STATIC contents of the website (game descriptions etc.) in other languages. But users would still have to write forum posts or file uploads/comments in German/English only. This would still be a very enormous amount of work and I would also have to find translators whenever I change little parts of the website (which happens frequently). I really dislike that idea so I'm not planning to do that either.

Keep in mind that this is not a huge game publisher website with X people which only work on the website. Be glad that there already are two languages. This is nothing you can expect from a little hobby website! Also everyone who uses the internet should be able to at least understand English.

sorry, had not seen this area.

But why would not matter / would be a bad idea? Increased support = more players.

40 ~ 50% Of CS2D players are Brazilian which is the most played game in UnrealSoftware

@user peq42: If DC were to know Portuguese and have the time to moderate the extra forum then I'm pretty sure he would. But until then, no extra forum languages will come simple because DC cannot moderate them as he does not speak the language.

@user peq42: You don't seem to get it. It's DC's forum and he is responsible for the content posted here. If Brazilians were to post some illegal content DC has to remove it, but if he does not speak the language then it would be very hard for him just to trust a few moderators.

I myself would not trust people to moderate a forum of a language I do not speak if I were to be responsible. - It is not worth the risk for DC to take.

Just look at the history of those Brazilians who will be called (and use the google translator from time to time to see what they say);

And on the issue of trust.
I think this is kind of a prejudice on your part. If you can trust in people who have never heard in my life, just for speaking their language, you can trust any other person of any color, language or place.

@user Blunt: Nearly 80% of schools teach English in Brazil...
Perhaps this idea could be good

In the beginning, did not like the idea because many will not like
but now I'm supportive and many Brazilians will vote

@user peq42: It is not worth the risk so DC will not do it. The law is very strict in Germany when it comes to the Internet and it's illegal content.
If DC were to know the language - fine. But he doesn't, so he won't create a separate forum language.

Why do you care so much about that Brazilians can post illegal things?
Has nothing to do that. There is the same chance of a Brazilian post such ilegal contents as an American or German put them too. Or think anyone is arrested in Brazil for cybercrime?

That is my point - This happens a lot.

It is not worth going to jail for from my point of view.
