Hello Dear CS2D players & admins.

I play CS2D now for about 5 years, and I've finally taken a heart to ask this question.

- How about if you, the inventor, register CS2D in the ESL Cup?

Through numerous "professional" clans and groups in CS2D, Me and some of the other asked, thought it would be a GOOD idea to register CS2D for the ESL Cup.

Yes, we know that applying this to esl efforts very much, but it's worth it.
The community would be even greater, and CS2D would spread much more.

We (the players) would be very pleased about an answer.

Greetings,
Zeenk (Xhaka)

I would like to see CS2D become more popular than it already is. Then again I don't really think this will happen, nice idea though.

@user Ahmad: I don't refuse it. Or did you see me saying "no"?

Everyone (not just me) can simply send a mail to ESL and suggest CS2D and see what happens.

The problem is that ESL will probably only accept games with a big user base. I don't know if CS2D has enough users for this but you can give it a try. You don't need my help to ask.

DC, can you explain me just a tiny bit, why don't you want to make your user base bigger then? (The idea with kickstarter). Explanation with "not an option for me" isn't really satisfactional

CS2D is one of the few free games that actually got a good gaming implement with a teamplay impact rare to other games of its kind.

user DC: You have made a game that brought to you satisfactions. We as players [the dedicated ones] have enjoyed so far your creation at max. However, even if we try to organize ourselves as much as we can [PCS Project, IMLeague in Europe, CS2DBR in Brazil etc], without a backup that comes directly from the inventor, there's not much that can be done. I dont mean you to organize for us all the competitions and cups, just that, when your "signature" is needed, to be there and give it.

With that i also mean this idea [ESL], because there's quite difference if a random player requests that, than the one that created it does.

You should try your best for the game, yourself [fame as game creator], and the community.

I dont request anything more from your side, if you show the dedication everyone expects from you, there wont be more complaints.

Regards,

csm

People randomly posting that I do a shit for CS2D without even knowing what I actually do. Great job!

I never said that I don't want to make the user base bigger. Why are you claiming this stuff?! It's simply not true! I don't remember the Kickstarter thing you are talking about but there were probably good reasons against it.

@user CoSmo: I always support the community if I can and if it makes sense. I don't appreciate that you simply say that I do nothing for CS2D and the community at all. It's not true. In this case (ESL) I can't help. It really makes no difference who asks. It only depends on the active user base in this case. You know that CS2D already was in ESL and got removed? Because there were not enough users I guess. It's probably pretty impossible to bring it back unless a big amount of users requests to bring it back (in the ESL forums). This is the thing that matters. Not that the developer himself asks to bring it back. That doesn't matter.

As you can see, most of us want to bring CS2D back to ESL.

At the moment, an Admin of ESL didn't reply to my Topic, but I hope someone will reply to it soon.

@user zeeenk: There are just 19 votes for it at the moment. That's nothing. At least not enough for the ESL. They won't add a game for 19 people.

user DC: I never said you did nothing. First of all you created the game, that's quite something

I just wanted to mention that since the game got potential, you have the chance to show your "creature" to a bigger scale. I am aware that CS2D was in ESL, but i see it as a chance as well to try it again.

The community [outside UnrealSoftware forums i mean] wants to have more players and competition. I know it sounds egoistic that some people asks you to do more, but also i think that sometimes [like on CaLiBRe's idea if you remember] some users try to help you actually. Dedicated players share with you opinions, ideas and suggestions. Not always correct maybe, but still is smthg.

All that matters is cooperation between you and whole community.

I enjoy this game and give just my opinion, no offense meant on my upper post towards you.

Btw, to support the thread on ESL, i have to register? But that's German forum

I went through public servers and they all said "Yes do it , please".

Not everyone is watching this out, but still let's see what happens.

@user CoSmo: I'm trying my best. CS2D is my most successful game and I put (and I'm still putting) a lot of work and effort into it and everything which is related to it.

@user zeeenk: The problem is that ESL can't see that. The best (and maybe only) solution would probably be to create an English (=international) and not German thread and to lead as many people to this thread as possible so they can post that they want to play CS2D in the ESL as well. This way ESL admins can see that there are many people who want to play CS2D in the ESL.

I could support such an action by putting the link into the CS2D USGN news system so every CS2D player sees it.

You probably need to wait until they activate your account. To stop spam, eh.
