I confused wart with thorn (the meaning of each) so i accidentally selected the "I fucking Cut it off" option.
Anyway, i had two warts already, both of them were treated with acid, you shouldn't try anything else home-made as far as i know. It can get worse.

It wouldn't really get worse. As long as you don't scratch, bite, or even touch it before cutting it off. As the virus could go under your finger-nail and eventually grow back on an open wound somewhere else that you have touched.

If you go for the option, "cut it off" make sure you get all the surrounding skin as that contains the virus as well.
Else if you go to a doctor or get it treated with a medicine. Good for you.

Cutting it sounds painful, but I guess that's the only option if you can't see a doctor or a clinic.

Back then i bought an acid on the pharmacy, applied it to the wart and scratched it with a tool every day.
The acid made it easier to be scratched (and less painful), so i did it until the wart was gone.

Using enamel around the wart was useful as well, so the acid couldn't burn the skin around it.
