not enough money to buy software? or you don't want to spend it? your problem! do you also go to a store and steal stuff if you don't have enough money? do you break into houses to get what you need? this stuff is not allowed.

think about the people that worked hard on the product that you are about to pirate...
for video games I would say (this is my personal opinion, it's still not legal of course!) it is okay to pirate them FOR TESTING ONLY (!) if there is no demo version available. and to buy them if you actually play them longer than an hour and like them.

BlackBelt: having no money is no point. having no money doesn't justify theft. especially if we are talking about luxury and I assume that we are talking about digital stuff like games and music in first instance. that is luxury. work and earn money if you want to get that luxury. downloading it without paying is illegal. EP has writtenyes but, what will you choose in a game of 1000$ (original) and the same game of 10$ (pirat)?
Not sure if there WOULD a game with that price, but given time, the price will lower to an affordable price.

On-topic: Piracy is bad, yes. I download things, not sure if that is piracy involving music or little programs. So, DC is right: only obtain items through legal means.
but I think that companies like hollywood and microsoft actaully waste money by trying to shut down the pirate bay and stuff. it would be more money effcient if they just tried to stop people who burn there CDs and sell them. And also, just because you can listen to a song on the radio doesn't mean people still don't buy it

I mainly download pirated games, test them (demo sucks hard), then if the game is good enough i buy it.
But there comes the bad part, for example, Minecraft is full of shit assholes that crack the client. I personally hope they burn in hell, but that's my opinion. Whatever.
P.S.Game prise 1000 $ WTF ? I cant even this games are very low-price now in Russia average cost 500 rub. it near 16 $.

Half the products that do get released aren't even that expensive, especially when you compare them to other high priced items which usually blows my mind.

I've never heard of a game being THAT expensive at all. Even then, most games that are released usually get a price drop within a few months (unless it's Call of Duty) I bought Deus Ex: Human Revolution for £25, 3 months after it was released.

I never actually bother pirating anything that does get released. I can usually tell when something will turn out to be totally shit or totally good.

Yes it's illegal yadi-yadi-ya. But it has happened for as long as we can remember and it will keep on happening.
I'd love to pay for the shit I download on TPB, because spending money gives a great feeling, but I just simply don't know where to buy it.
