Maybe just because he wants? Maybe he's a gamer or works with memory-hogging applications, who knows. Doesn't really matter.
I'm not really having any guesses. Any file in any folder, or just one file in one particular folder? Maybe, as much as I hate to say it, it's a virus.

I need it in order for Windows to recognize and use my 12 gigabytes of RAM.
But RamboDerp, why do you need 12 gigabytes of RAM? That's silly.
I need 12 gigabytes of RAM because I work with textures whilst also working with high-poly models in a real time environment.

Just use the command prompt to delete the file or folder.
Apache uwu: , write in the command prompt ATTRIB to see all files in the folder that you are in, use 'cd..' to back to the previous folder, use 'cd' <Name of the folder> to go to that folder, use DEL <Filename.typeoffile> to delete, use the command 'start <nameoffile.typeoffile>' to open a file (to see all commands type 'help') But then, sadly. I must restart my computer.
