It's opinion based, and I really have to say that it is for the better. It uses alertjs as well as ajax. ~~it is possible to reverse it anyways;

That may be so, but it doesn't mean that I should be forced to use the latest design that Youtube enjoys putting out for no good reason.

the main problem I see with the new design is that there is no option anymore to post public comments on someone's channelpage. also there is no PM button anymore. and also no more "become friends with this user" button.

hence there also are no more boxes on your channel page where you can show the channel comments or who subscripbed to you.

apparently they want you to mix your youtube account with a facebook and/or google+ account (since they basically removed all the social stuff) so they can receive even more data about you from those social networks

do you "the new youtube design isnt so bad"-guys now see the problem?

Server changes DO cause gui changes, it's would be rather impossible or difficult to make any changes without any effects to the ui.

I don't get used to the layout every time. This layout makes no sense. First you had 1 whole page filled with vids, and now you have only the latest uploads, like you'd have in yous sub box.

I actually kind of think it's a lot more functional-wise than the old youtube layout. Even if you hate youtube, eventually you'll probably come back and find that it's easier to find videos more "relevant" to you lol. Also considering it's Google, they've stalked us enough to come to the conclusion this would probably work better. Maybe.

YouTube got into sh*t since VEVO and other shi*ty companies got in and started to ban all the videos because of their `copyright violations`. I wanted to upload a video with some seconds from a movie and they've banned it instantly.

Anyway, the layout looks cool each time for me.
