I had an Idea:
When we start the island, the fist thing that we do is a hammer. But this hammer is made ​​of stone. So, in a future time, when we need to make buildings that use a lot of itens (hard buildings) we need a best hammer; so, we make a iron hammer. I have an model, but its simple, if can it help, Im grateful

For Lion_Hearted: I play your mod and I really liked it.

i like where your going, however massive mod already did that

but anyways heres my idea

you make another skill (build skill) and every building increses the skill.

each 10 lvls is 1 item off + hammer?

also each lvl of hammer is 1-3 items off?

here are the hammer lvls

1 rock hammer = free from start

2 iron hammer = lvl 25

3 gold hammer = lvl 50

4 small emerald hammer (small crystal)= lvl 75

5 large emeral hammer (normal crystal)= lvl 100

6 ruby hammer (red version of crystal)= lvl 125

7 sappire hammer (blue version of crystal)= lvl 150

8 diamond hammer (clear, white crystal)= 200

i think the emerald hammer should look like the oblivion glass hammer

please concider my idea, you can change some of my text if you like it doesnt matter il be happy if you accept it though...

Thats a good idea, and a bad idea... We don't need so many hammer items. However I do think that building time can be adjusted to different hammers. A stone hammer you got to wait 3 seconds between strikes. A iron one, you wait 1 second. A diamond one, you wait 500 MS, and a tialight, its as fast as you can click.


But, I don't think we need any more then 4 types of hammers maximum.

I don't think it's possible without having to change the source code. If you notice, when you build (aka use the hammer on a building site) the icon of the used item falls in random direction down. And after the icon falls down (so it's not on the screen any more) you can build next part.
Ad I wrote, the direction is random, that's why the delay is random

As far as I know, the icon falling down has absolutely nothing to do with the speed of the hammer.

The icon falling down is just merely a graphic.


Type

rate=1

into the hammer description area to get a REALLY fast hammer that hammers so fast that you can't keep up with the cooldown... on the other hand type.

rate=10000

And you'll only be able to use the hammer every 10 seconds.


If there is no "rate" on an object, the object will automatically assume a 1 second delay between hits.

If you've tested it, I believe your word :), it was only my feeling, than. Maybe it's because I don't have a rhythmical mouse finger

I test this feature (hit rate) and it is true. Changing the hit rate also changes the cooldown time. I still think there are many four hammers. three hammers is good.The rate works for both the hammer and for the weapons.... I really like yours models barbosa

why do you guys complaining about hammer .
just kidding go on.....

but in the other hand i'm interested about animated texture or particle sprite.
cause i want to make waterfalls.

Why would it be impossible?

Simple... even if I did get the water fall to work, say make the model go down then jerk back up in a rhythmic sync so it looked like it was continuously flowing (which I think I could) and added all kinds of fountain sprites at the bottom, (Which I know I could). The water level in stranded 2 is set, there is no water higher then other water... Only if you made the pond a model in itself, but then you'd lack the underwater effects, and the air bubble effect.

I'm sorry if I came across a little rude.

Its just my nature, I have the utmost respect for you, and your scripting abilities, not to mention your artwork.

Anyone who can animate is a rare jewel indeed, I can do it... but it takes 8 to 4 days for me to animate something correctly... The deer took me 4 days of constantly retrying and trying again just to get it to work.

Erm... first of all... The source code, and stranded 2 code may have similarities... but they are not the same language. I partially know my way around blitz, but there is no way I could code it. And, you have to have an official version of blitz, which I have, which I can compile stranded 2 with.

I know how to manage different graphical displays, make menus, do different other things like that. I do not know how to handle arrays, integers, etc.

we could make rod upgrades so it faster (same ores)
and pick upgrades (increse chance of getting rare ore)
and dig upgrades (faster digging + larger chance of getting something good)
and a passific weapon skill (bows/rifles, swords, unarmed)
and the higher the weapon lvl the stronger the attack
well make this the most epic rpg ever!

also about the maps il give you a little idea of what i think


after looking at the picture read the notes below...

the yellow arrows represnt swiming to a pacific side of the map will automaticly load you to the map on the other side, the yellow out line of all 9 maps is meaning the boundry because there is no map on the other side, so instead we leave it to be the basic infinite water.
but however after loading the next map we will remain with the same states, values and equipment from before

so then we get to have massive, exiting jurnys for example if you have paitents you could make 50x50 maps connected and even have a few maps as an empty sea just to make it harder to survive so you need to try and make the right thoughts to go to the right places infact we could even have maps infested with dinos or native canibles if you look to the middle of my little desplay youd see a big island seperated in 4 maps
so then it would make map explorations longer... and just imagin a world of stranded II that never ends 100x100 or 200x200 you have no idea on how legendry we will get... we may even get to be some of the most popular people or even be the best mod in stranded history... i guess if your lazy you could make a large amount of random maps then link them togeather til theni hope this mod will legendry as i think it could achive

with lion hearted's scripting knowledge, and barbosas modeling proffection and my idea we may acaully be able to pull this off, of course this is up to you barbosa...
