Not necessarily the game in itself, but the people playing it?
I haven't been playing for quite a while, however I remember that it (almost) always was a nice atmosphere in any server you joined. The people was in a good mood and friendly to each other. Yesterday when I re-installed this beloved game,
all I could see was people saying "you motherf*'cker" "noob" "ur mom" ect ect, to each other..
Is this pretty much 'normal' lingo in todays servers? If so what happened?

Thanks to the people who keep this game alive none the less!

I understand you... but yes, CS2D is fucked up right now.
The 12-years-olds invasion is growing at a fast rate and oh, don't forget about it turning like CS 1.6: more non-English servers. You enter in one server and you see most text in a non-English language and lots of "kurwa", "filho da puta", "me chupa los cojones".... argh, frustrating.

Yes, I still remember that feeling of playing a construction game, being a team protecting the flag.
It's all gone now, I can't seem to find that feeling anymore.

Wasn't it always that way, that ppl are flaming each other? (omg, noob, lucker, c*nt, m*otherf*cker) But that isn't a cs2d thing. Basicly the whole online FPS community is inmature, and will ever be. Maybe CS2D evenmore, because there are lots of young kids playing this game.

this is pretty common in nearly every game played by many kids (so nearly every game). nothing special. nothing worth a thread.

and yeah it pretty much was that way all the time. so nothing happened to CS2D. it's normal.

that depends on when you started playing.
I dont remember ever being called anything else than a noob in the first years I played cs2d (and that was at least true).

I think that it is mainly the people playing, who are always getting younger.
I have a server myself and the people that join are about 50% under 12.

Those 6-12 year olds are also normally those who are annoying and flaming and spamming as well.

Edit: it might also be that I play on different servers than I used to...

i disagree. the flaming have been getting worse over the years. like a few years ago yeah ofc you would hear someone trying to start trouble every now and then but not as much as today. which is sad cause alot of really good players stopped playing cause of that. but like above speakers said. its online. its the internet. basically full of inmature people.

simple solution to this problem.

A custom lua that censors & eventualy bans flaming nubs.

A flexable lua at that so the server admin can add or removed censored words.

simple 3 warning then auto kick or ban.

also could eliminate spam in this manner.

I wonder how cs2d was before this idiot brazilian/kids invasion, brazilian and kids are almost the same thing...

a simple thing can win the kids:
Permanently BAN

Note:If you play in a server ,and kids start flamming ,get out of server and go play in other server ,or call server admin

Example:

(GM = me // G = a guy of the server)

G: Hi
GM: hi
G: how are u?
Gm: good and u?
G:good
G: can i have super armor and lazers plz?
GM: -.-*
GM: NO!
G: Plz
GM: NO!
G: plz!!!
GM: wt* no!!
G: ppllzz!!
GM: *kicked G*
*g come back*
G: f*ck u hit**r n*z*
*g got banned*

thats pretty annoying..
much guys are saying that to me... just for doing my job and for being german...

it's normal for our society. sad but true - our world got many stereotypes like: german - nazi, russian - vodka and bears (but see bears only in zoo), american - fat shit and black ghetto etc. kids is never to die, may be DC could be add simple registration to cs 2d like:
"when you born?" and you must type year: 2011-%YEAR%. If it <14 then cs2d will delete on this computer. If it >14 then "enjoy for playing". This is like steam protection.
