yeah it already has been released a long time ago.
the current version is natively working under linux otherwise it wouldn't make any sense.

you probably need to install the right packages for your linux distribution to make it run.

Weird. I got the same driver and it's working for me.

Trying to run CounterStrike2D without any parameter outputs this:
1
2
3
$ CounterStrike2D
Graphics Mode Error:
640x480 at 32 bit does not work!
But `CounterStrike2D -win` works for me flawless. Are you sure that you run it correctly?

That:
1
2
Graphics Mode Error:
1280x800 at 32 bit does not work!
means that you are trying to run CS2D with that resolution. Try to set CS2D-resolution to 640x480 and then run it with the "-win" parameter.
Make sure you are not using your selfmade cs2d-launcher... It doesn't work here :p

DC never says when he is going to release a new version. So don't bother asking.

This thread is a proof, with one of the many reasons why Windows rocks.

Okay this get Off Topic but...

Just because one person can't get his CS2D running?
Comparisons between Windows and GNU/Linux are IMHO bullshit because Windows is often preferred because of the marketshare.
If Microsoft wouldn't pay merchants to sell Computers with preinstalled Windows, the marketshare today would look much different.
Technically, GNU/Linux is the most advanced operating system ever.

xeNium, and you are everyday using Linux, connecting to Linux web servers (90%), playing games hosted on Linux server (90%).

Linux is in mobile phones, servers, toasters, computers, notebooks, macs, tv, routers, tv decoders, dvd players, and many more...

All people are using Linux everyday, but they just dont know...

And... end of offtopic.
