Hello all, ive decided to try and make some animals for stranded 2, after 3 days ive finaly made a wild boar and am quite proud of it since it is my first organic model.

Now i've read a bit that you cant use 3ds format for animations but being used to 3dsmax, milkshape as well as anim8or are very confusing. I can easily rig and animate the model in 3dsmax and am wondering if there is any program that can import the animations with the model and then let me export it to b3d format.

Heres a look at the boar ingame lol, although hes just an object at this moment and a bit oversized

Actually the model itself i tried to keep as low poly as possible, but the texture makes it look more detailed and to be honest, i dont think ppl would mind if its a bit better than the other stranded models

As far as i know the program is not free, but it sure helps if a friend of yours lends you his legit copy
I used Gmax before and 3Ds max is very similar and more advanced so i had no truble switching to it.
You could try using Gmax but i can't remember if it is able to export .3Ds files

you can use .3ds models in stranded too, just not animated ones, wich is what im having truble with. It's easy to animate in 3Dsmax but milkshape confuses me plus the only tutorial i could find for animating was for bipeds so it didnt help much. But i have found a b3d exporter for 3Dsmax although i dont think its working properly, need to do some more testing.
