@user StirlizZ-Fapicon: If somebody made that for me I probably won't use it because I still would have to rewrite too much code to make all this work. Sorry.
This is not just about changing a 32 to a 64 in the code (it maybe would be in a 100% perfectly organized code). A lot of stuff is related to this and would have to be revised, certainly causing tons of problems and bugs.

To clarify this once again: I won't apply any major changes to the current CS2D build because it's bad to invest so much in such an outdated and especially limited game engine. It's like trying to build a huge villa on a rotten foundation. Everything will explode sooner or later so it's basically wasted time to do it.

@user DC: Still think CS2D needs to look bigger, I'm sick of the black edges, who uses these kind of screens anyways these days? Its no longer 2000~

@user Mami Tomoe: The game is from shortly after 2000 though

It was designed to be a game for quick action and to run in a window so you can still keep doing other stuff like chatting or browsing while being dead. I personally never play it in full screen. Nobody should do that.

However what I just tried to explain to user StirlizZ-Fapicon is: It would probably cost too much effort to change this, especially considering the overall outdated engine. It would make more sense to re-create the game from scratch with a more modern and solid engine. I don't have time for this though because I have other projects. Search the forum and you will find a lot of posts about this.

I simulated when peoples used this kind of screens, and today I had a idea;
What if in small screen stuff will stay 32x32 and on full screen stuff will go 64x64? Its still fair for the 5% of the users with the old monitors, and also fun for us with the bigger monitors.

I know it will be hard to add but I don't think you really have many things to add except for bug fixes right?

@user Mami Tomoe: DC literally said the reason why he wouldn't do that in that text you quoted.

@user DC: In fullscreen mode, the size is playable, but I can't quickly switch between windows. In window mode, I can quickly switch between windows, but everything is very tiny.
So that people with large monitors don't have to squint, maybe add a way to scale the game in window mode?

@user J192: The launcher solves this problem.

Using the launcher, you may select the resolution (mostly defined) and if you want it windowed or not. Should work.

@user Yates: Just tried it, it seems to only change the size of the window and doesn't scale the actual game.

@user J192: I'm sure the top dropdown can change the resolution which should work alongside the windowed option.

@user Yates: The window is just a black square with the 640x480 CS2D screen in the center. It doesn't scale.
