Hello guys.
I got problem when starting my computer.
When windows xp start loading, the blue screen of death appearing and says: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VALUME
And at the bottom of screen: ***STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8637DC08m 0xC0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I find in internet how to solve this problem, where you must insert the fucking Windows CD and open console. BUT!

I don't have CD-ROM
I lost my windows installation CD
I can't format my disc because there is my LUA Project on the computer.

If there is any way to fix it, please, help me!

*Sigh*, put it on a memory stick. If you can't do that then it's a God-like failure and you'll just have to accept you're going to lose everything on your PC.

I said that it is impossible to acces to the windows XP!

Well if you had the CD and you would re-install XP you would still have the old data (windows.old.001). You should better find/get that CD.

Or he could remove the hard disk and plug it elsewhere.

That's the prob. The windows files are corrupted. Will be same as in my computer.
And I doupt that can unlplug the hard drive from laptop

Could dual boot another operating system such as Ubuntu and grab your files from it instead.

You post this in a wrong site,or may be not.Beg your friends to give you CD-ROM for a day or two,ask for a windows xp installation CD or CDs...

That's a great idea, you could boot from a USB stick. I've seen ubuntu being booted from one of those.

That's only if your bios supports it, you can always try a network boot, since you don't have a cd-rom drive.

Laptops need specific CD-ROMS. Atleast most do. So i doubt he will get a working one from his friend.

Your fucked any ways . just get a win7 or vista and start from scratch , money wise win7 is about 120 dollars , win 7 ULTIMATE however is about 210 dollars , but its worth getting cause it prevents hard drive failures

vista is a bit expensive 300 dollars for the one i have and i recommend it!
