Why should it be removed? those are just a five character white text at the upper left corner of the screen, they will never cover something important enough. DC Admin

the FPS are only displayed in debug mode. you can turn it off!
go to options more select debug choose off click apply click okay
done. fps display and other debug output is gone.
or enter 
debug 0 in console So when you say debug 0 in console; the console becomes useless but you got rid of 1 'irritating' FPS thing?

no, why should it become useless? this only disables a few very pointless debug output messages which are not necessary for 99,9% of all users. so you can disable debug without any problems and still use the console as before. Hmm does this also disable logging debug to logs? Or just to output?
