you should add a cmd which kicks player from server if he turned off shadows... because this player can get advantage, eg: guy with turned ON shadows go in dark place and camping here, but guy with turned OFF shadows can easily check where is he.
i'm sorry for posting this in wrong thread.

Yeah DC what will you do with this ?
The player with "shadows OFF" will have an advantage in some maps ?

Well, nothing will change right now.
If I'll get the lighting engine work without any issues in 0.1.2.0, later DC might implement lighting as necessary option. (map properties option)

and example how choose on mp_buymenu the weapons to CT and T???

mp_buymenu 1,2,3,4,5 - pistols right after the 5 add this | without space it will change to the Shotguns then close it |

Example : mp_buymenu 1,2,3,4,5,6|10,11|23,20,22 and so on

i checked it out and it looks absolutely fantastic especially with the lighting mechanic (reminds me of half life 2)
and I'm having fun with the m134

i give it a 1337 / 10

By the way DC i pretty much understand everything you put in but I'm still wondering, what are the "env_light stripe and env_room" entities for?

Lol.

Room entity is like a shadow and when you put light/light stripe in room the shadow gets light.

You need an env_room entity in the area you want your room.
Lighting only works inside rooms.
env_lightstripe will create a light focused towards a single direction (sort of like using a gradient in an image editor), while env_light creates light in a specific spot that spreads light in all directions.

I think the command cs2d cmd mp_buymenu should somehow be able to make weapons available only to certain teams. This way it's possible to simply add/remove some weapons without having to override the elite with the fiveseven or the M4A1 with the AK-47.

I suggest using parenthesis for T-only weapons and squared brackets for CT-only ones.
This is an example on how the pistols menu should look like:
1
"1,2,3,4,(5),[6]"

DC I saw there was an option where you can remove the shadow when in a room, so some cheaters will leave it disabled so they have advantage. I agree to others that it should be removed.

Well people can turn down their graphics to see other players better...should that be removed?

it's unfair, indeed. but the shadow engine is not stable enough and it might make the game unplayable on some systems so it must be optional.

so my suggestion for map makers is: don't create rooms that are totally dark! always make them bright enough so you can always see everyone in it even without flashlight. that way it doesn't matter too much if the light engine is enabled or not. always keep in mind that the light engine is off by default. most people will not have it enabled because they stick to the default settings.

of course you can still create totally dark rooms but they are indeed unfair. that's how it is. the light engine is just a visual thing. don't use it as gameplay element.

... or just add fog of war. Becouse flashlight and fog of war is toggled at the same direction...
