Does it actually say that he is logged in at the start screen? The text should be green and say "Logged in as ..."
If not, than he is either trying to log in (Yellow) or he has not entered the right pw or username (Red)
Yellow ---> No connection to usgn or failed too many times
Green ---> Logged in with no errors
