And nice logos!
The top looks sorta like someone took an eraser brush and just streaked through it, leaving it looked jagged and simple unappealing to me... The bottom also looks a little weird...
The rest looks fine... if you want it to fade in, make sure you use an eraser edge that has a fading shell.
Oh yeah, and... all the letters being so closed together... I know it has a fashionable look to it... but it really only takes out functionality.
I love the original, the way the comet starts in a really faint tail around the U, and ends in a bright ball of floresent green at the end.
And its easily readable.
The mind of speed readers, such as myself don't read the full word. We only take note of the first and last one, and how many letters inbetween, and we only glimpse at what kind of letters they are...
Combining the letters as you did, sorta confuses several of us.
Just take my critisism as constructive, and you'll get to satisfy me soon enough.
I would rate it, 3 out of 5... mainly cause I can see that you went to a lot of hard work to do so... and texturing the letters isn't exactly as easy as it looks.
