These Alt codes work on my keyboard at least.

You just gotta press and hold down Alt type the numbers exactly as is, and then release Alt for the character to get inputted into the value field you're typing in.

Swedish characters in alphabet:

Here is some useful Alt Codes if your delete key or backspace doesn't work for some reason and TAB for if you want to jump between things, and also the Return key.

Alt + 008 = Delete/Backspace
Alt + 009 = TAB
Alt + 013 or Alt + 014 = Return

Ugh, WTF is wrong with the Portuguese ALT Codes?!
We just use á, é, í, ó, ú; à, è, ì, ò, ù; ã, õ and ç (with the respective capital letter). We don't even use the German Beta or that D with a -.
So, I copied the list and made bold the shit we don't use.

ã (0227)
à (0195)
ç (0231)
Ç (0199) (we have words with "ç", but no word actually begins with "Ç" so therefore it doesn't count)
ò (0242)
Ò (0210)
ó (0243)
Ó (0211)
õ (0245)
Õ (0213)
ä (0228) (we don't use anything with ¨ - please note: Brazilian Portuguese (not the one I speak, I use European Portuguese) used to use ¨ with some letters like ü, but a contract signed at 2008/09/10 removed that so therefore doesn't belong to both Portuguese dialects)
å (0229) (we never use this!)
æ (0230) (neither this! personally, I don't know what the fuck this means)
ð (0240) (wtf, a a with a x? never heard of this and this certainly isn't in our language (and never was/will))
ë (0235) (we don't use anything with ¨ - please note: Brazilian Portuguese (not the one I speak, I use European Portuguese) used to use ¨ with some letters like ü, but a contract signed at 2008/09/10 removed that so therefore doesn't belong to both Portuguese dialects)
ö (0246) (we don't use anything with ¨ - please note: Brazilian Portuguese (not the one I speak, I use European Portuguese) used to use ¨ with some letters like ü, but a contract signed at 2008/09/10 removed that so therefore doesn't belong to both Portuguese dialects)
ø (0224)
ß (0223) (wtf is the German Beta doing here?)
þ (0254) (lolwut o_O)
ü (0252) (we don't use anything with ¨ - please note: Brazilian Portuguese (not the one I speak, I use European Portuguese) used to use ¨ with some letters like ü, but a contract signed at 2008/09/10 removed that so therefore doesn't belong to both Portuguese dialects)
ÿ (0255) (same issue has above letters with ¨)
Ä (0196) (same issue has above letters with ¨)
Å[/n] (0197) (isn't this Swedish? LoL)
[b]Æ
(0198) (lolwtf?)
Ð (020) (lolwtf?-again)
Ë (0203) (same issue has above letters with ¨)
Ö (0214) (same issue has above letters with ¨)
Ø (0216) (*facepalm*)

I don't know from where you copy-pasted this, but they certainly thought Portuguese, instead of a Latin language, was a mounsterous Swedish-German-Dutch-etc. mix.

I just ment that those characters exist in Swedish alphabet, that's all. I know language developes from other languages and becomes what it is today... so yeah. It's like a alphabetic evolution.

You can create all kinds of characters with the Alt codes, lol.

Yea. Some PC's and keyboards aren't able to do these characters simply because they are different. Some countries use only their own language characters, very systematic indeed. Ah well, can't do much about that. Quick solution would be to download character maps on the net and configure them on the PC (key mapping). So you could add russian keys to your PC or anything, lol... not that I've done it but heard you can do it.

not exactly, you must have NumLock in your laptop, and special color numbers in some keys, which allows to use keypad in laptop (I have one)
