Duke Nukem Forever developed was cancelled a few months back, lost funding I think
this is my answer to your statement
as you can see it ,the internal team is laid off but they are continuing to work with external ones
Probably take the external team another 10 years to realise they're never going to release it, lol

DooM3 is gory, and if you don't like that number of gore(too few), take chainsaw
CHILLER is the most violent game ever. It can traumatizes you in a second 
as proof that the game is more violent, take a knife and cut a person
