I got SuSe 10.0
what i did:
upload 'cs2dmax_0105.rar'
upload 'cs2d_dedicated_linux.zip'
then i used the following commands:
unrar x cs2dmax_0105.rar
that extracted all files into a folder called 'cs2dmax_0105'
unzip cs2d_dedicated_linux.zip'
that unzip the cs2d dedicated server
cp cs2d_dedicated cs2dmax_0105/
rm cs2d_dedicated
cd cs2dmax_0105/
chmod 754 cs2d_dedicated
chmod 100 would do the job too if the owner wants to start it

worked perfectly fine DC should make these servers stable, i can already crash em

marcio: nobody should be able to crash servers. no matter if he has to join them to do it or not. this is a very big security issue which can be lethal for the whole game when I don't fix it. Thats the shit.
We discuss CS2D max and yet a hacker discuss it with us.He hacks the servers and then "tells" DC how does he do it.And yet he is not banned and still discuss Max like our friend here

His real name is Michiel and I think his aftername is Dongen. He has released alot of hacks for CS2D on some websites (not naming them) and he should be seen as a very lethal person because he hacks CS2D for a living (seriously, he comes up everyday hacking).
He's the number 1 reason why so many people hack because he releases those hacks. I know because I WAS a friend of him, but I blocked him as soon as I realized he hacks.

He is the one that crashes all the servers in the old CS2D and he is the one who hacked so that he looked like a VIP or a Hostage in maps like de_dust, he is a son of a bitch who hacks for a living. He shouldnt be treated like a kind person. I'm willing to give out all his fucking personal information because someone who hacks doesn't deserve any protection. When I find out where Michiel Dongen lives (I live in Holland too) I'm going to beat him up, and teach him not to hack and ruin games.

Launcher rounds in de_dust and hes shooting
with only 1 second delay and no reloading.. It was lagging for everyone then he crashed the server.

other's gameplay but no worries I will find him,

this is pretty impossible if he was just a client but of course it is possible if it was HIS server. ammo and weapons are checked serverside. it is impossible to have an unlimited ammo cheat in cs2d max and its IMPOSSIBLE to get ANY weapon by cheat. at least as client.
cs2d max servers just don't accept client-cheated ammo or weapons. you don't get it DC, EVERY game is hackable even the MOST secured game is HACKABLE..
Look at GunZ with it's top security system yet you see people hacking, CS2D Max might have a decent security but you cant say its impossible to hack, he was a CLIENT at another person's Dedi server and he DID was hacking, next time ill take a screenshot when I see him DC Admin Offline
are you a programmer? do you even know how this works?
sure. everything is hackable. you can get unlimited ammo and you can get an rpg launcher on dust. but servers ignore these hacks because they keep track of all values. if you really want to hack such stuff in cs2dmax you don't just have to hack on your own pc, you have to get direct access to the pc where the server is running. this is much harder than local hacking. most cs2d "hackers" will not be able to do something like this.
and if someone should manage to do this then it is not the fault of cs2dmax but the fault of the serverowner because his system is insecure and not well-protected (e.g. no firewall or a wrong configurated firewall)
you really have to differentiate between types of hacks. everything is hackable. but some things are so hard to hack that it is nearly impossible. otherwise some people would have serious problems with their online banking.. edited 1×, last 02.08.08 04:31:14 pm
