the udp request to usgn doesn't work, but all the udp communication between server-client works 100% fine. and the version check worsk 100% fine too (i tested it, with version b 0.1.0.3, it checked version, said version is not up to date, but didn't register in usgn)
so it probably must be something about the usgn register request code, because all the other code must work properly.

CHMOD is a preference of linux, that gives the rights what to do to a program.
if you need to set CHMOD 777 to a program, open linux console (or ssh), go with CD to the folder you want, switch to root ( su enter, password) and make CHMOD 777 -R /folder(or data)
ATTENTION! NEVER use chmod 777 to ALL files! this would kill your system!
test if the server back with the new IP...
Damn, he can't because he is hosting a lot of
other games, he can't do this...
I'm pretty sure if he change his ip it works...

So CHMOD havent got anything to do with windows XP coz i got windows and I am launching the cs2d dedicated server software then when I wanna see my server in server list I cant find it :S I made a UDP port 36963 for Firewall but I still don't get it on my server list ...
no, CHMOD has nothing to do with windows.
to let anyone see your server, you need to forward the port to your pc
and u open udp port on ur pc, not on ur connection...
I'm joining my server from the LAN tab but the others players around the world could see my server in internet tab ??? so you need to forward port 36963 to your pc
however yesterday sometime my servers appeared again and they work absolutely fine now. it really seems to happen every 1-3 months that they appear/disappear.
i'll have a look at the logs, maybe they can help us.
I think it isnt appearing on the others' server list ... I have 2 PCs so I tryed with the other one to capt it it capted it in LAN tab not in Internet tab >.> so anything still wrong in it ... ??BTW Im using the same DSL connection ...

Sometimes, the server doesn't register and you have to restart it.
