Hahhaha, awesome. *cough* *ahem* Yea, give me five minutes to check that out and code a fix.

EDIT:
Huh. Interesting, not sure why it happens as the clay bottles filled with water work fine and there are no changes between the code for throwing. I'll keep looking but for now just don't go chucking waterskins\livers (it may happen with them).

EDIT:
Made some updates to achievements...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipJitUVNSP8
No sound in the video, sorry. Basically I killed 10 kiwis, got the kiwi hunter achievement, and then 20 seconds later had some "inspiration" and learned 3 new recipes (for making bread).

This showcases the new feature of achievements: Rewards. Yes, I'm pretty much copying TF2, but oh well, I needed some way to give players recipes for TNT and such, and giving them at skill ups only goes so far.

Hey Builder, just posted @ Megaupload:

Hi Gabriel,

I went into megaupload.com and downloaded the update with no problem.
(The file size was only 484.49 KB = Pretty Small)

Now if I was only able to get the *Massive Mod* as well ... [since I assume the two need to be combined] ? (sigh) ... I could actually Play the game.

Would it be too much to ask, if you would also upload the
Massive Mod (Size? I dunno.) to megauploads as well?

(Filefront.com Sucks! Total waste of time trying there! ..
I emailed them, and was told .. They don't really support S.Africa.)

Then everyone could get it and play.

I am sure that Builder would not mind ?

Tinkerbell:
If you read the readme you would realize that the "500 kb" file *is* Massive Mod. The reason my mod is not 22 megs is because I decided to not repackage SSII with it, as that would waste your time needlessly. There are two ways to install MM, check the readme for information on how to set it up as a mod, or how to overwrite your normal Stranded.

bloodsheder:
Yes, I know about that already, I'm just entirely sure what is causing it.

Thank you builder .. I was afraid that the *update* was "just an update" to your original Massive Mod .. and not the "whole package"
So, If I understand correctly, this "update" (when combined with Stranded II will give me your whole mod?)

Is this correct? (or am I "just being blond" .. as usual)?

Please respond to a *Dumb Player*

PS: I will certainly read your "Readme file"
Thank you.

Thank you Sir,

That makes me feel a whole lot better ..

But at 65+ years, there is sooo much still to learn!

I believe the phrase is "ignore the flamers, don't feed the trolls". Also, Tinker, a very helpful thing to do is read the "readme" included with most mods. Before you think I'm being sarcastic, most good mod makers will include a very comprehensive readme explaining exactly how to install, usually uninstall, what the mod changes, and other important info.

Had you read that you would of known that to install MM you simply overwrite your default SSII folder with the one included in the zip, which makes downloading the mod MUCH faster, and if you don't want to overwrite your default SSII, I included instructions on how to setup the modification as a mod.

*shrug* So, next time, read the readme before asking a question.

Or perhaps you can be user-friendly and package it for the average Joe Blow.

Or perhaps user friendly is not forcing the average Joe who may not have a broadband connection to download a 22 meg file, especially since all the average Joe Blow must do to make it work as a mod is:

1. Copy his mods/Stranded II folder, rename it "MassiveMod"
2. Overwrite that folder with Massive Mod
3. Place Massive Mod.bat (a file I made specifically for the average Joe and already included in the rar) in Stranded II folder.

Click Massive Mod.bat to play.

Now, I would like to request you stop complaining about my mods "User Friendliness" and understand not everyone has the time to download a 22 meg file (it may take hours for them), furthermore a 450 kb file only takes 2 seconds, while the steps I listed above can be accomplished in 60 seconds (give or take time to finish the copying of the folder). Taking all this into consideration;

1. My mod is 450 kb because I have not packaged it as you request
2. I have included a bat file for those who want it as a mod
3. I have included clear and concise instructions for those who want it as a mod
4. I have included clear and concise instructions for those who want it to overwrite default SS 2
5. I will go so far to include an image tutorial of installing it both ways if you request.

My mod is the most "user-friendly" of them all (except those installed using an exe, and I am considering adding that in, ie; run the exe and it'll do all the steps above for you).

With that in my mind, get the hell out of my thread unless you've got something to say except complain about the "user-friendliness" of my mod. I have noticed a considerable amount of your posts are merely flaming or insultive remarks to those who are merely trying to be helpful or are newbies to these forums and in general your attitude to your fellow forumers is starting to piss me off.

You have 65 posts. Start to act like it and cool down on the elitist scale.

Perhaps. I'm thinking of releasing a cheat sheet, but that may be useless since in the coming versions many achievements will *give* you the combos in recipe form.

Wow That would be very good, cause there is a looot of things, like meals to make and it is really hard to find out how without cheating. So recipes with archievments would be really nice

Nope, no misquote there.
"Don't feed the energy monsters" is an old rpg saying,
that basically means, don't give a flamer or troll any
validation that encourages them to continue thier
behavior

in fact it is "his" thread because he created it. and the mod is his project so its his own decision how he wants to share it. maybe you don't like it and you think that your method would be better but you are not the one who can decide this. I really think that there are still a lot of people who care about download time!

and now please calm down. I don't want to see (more) flame here!

Look man, I don't know what your problem is, nor do I know why you persist. I told you plain and simple to either cool down or leave. You didn't. Now DC has also told you off. With that in mind, I am no longer suggesting "cool down or leave", I am suggesting "don't post in my thread at all please, you've lost your chance".

Furthermore, I really feel it's a waste of my own time that could be better spent coding MM, but I need to point out something:

I have several years of coding experience and an an average typing speed of 90 words a minute. Trying to draw fun at the fact that I took the time to respond to your sarcastic post shows a severe lack of maturity.

Don't respond please, I've had enough of your raging posts for today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next update for MM will feature custom models, more icons, and quite a few more achievements. Along with various ever fixes and tweaks too numerous to list here. Yay for bug fixing. Including a significant amount of rebalancing of the items released in the last update.
