Hi, I've downloaded the Massive Mod v4 from these pages, but I noticed that the hammer now doesn't need the vine anymore when you make it, is it right? Is this a later change in the mod? If so, why? (If I can know ;)) And is still available the terraforming with the spade? And the spear/throwing spear?
Is this the last version of the Massive Mod? (the "forging" version)
thx!

According to SIIMV, yep.

No idea, but I'm guessing it's to allow a little bit of ease of change between regular S2 and MM.

Yes, there is the spade, designed for terraforming, and the shovel, designed for digging stuff up.

And the spear/throwing spear?
Throwing Spear = Long Wooden Handle + Stone
Iron Spear = Long Wooden Handle + Iron Spear Head + Iron Nail

If you downloaded it off page 41 of this thread, then yeah, this is the last available version, but the mod has not been abandoned. Builder is still working on it, but he also has life to attend to, and as his previous releases show, when he does release a new version, there is always a shed load of new stuff in it.
Don't forget to implement the burn fix. You can download the replacement file or simply edit it yourself, which is much simpler.
Here's my post about the burn fixing.
This is what lightningflash needed.

Throwing spear and melee spear can be easily switched
just press RMB with spear equipped
and no this is not the last version
builder will do more stuff when he gets his holidays

@Vibhor
as on medium you gotta live on meat or fish or berries to quench thirst only rain and well can do the job to quench it otherwise
This isn't necessarily true. First of all, you can build wells, they may not be infinite sources of water but they fill when it rains. Second of all, if you have any banana trees, then you have monkeys. If you have monkeys you can tame them by throwing five bananas at them. Once they're tamed you can ask them to get something for you, which will appear at your feet each morning. You can ask for: branch, leaves, something, something, and water.
Also, to reply to your response to me "Arrow heads" are made from iron, but you can make "stone arrows" from "arrow shaft" + "feather" + "pebbles." You can also make 'wooden arrow' from 'arrow shaft' + 'feather'.
My point is you don't HAVE to have iron for anything that is NECESSARY in the game. Iron is useful, it allows you to do things you couldn't otherwise do, and build more advanced things, but you don't need it to survive.
Also, I just checked the code and you can skill up in mining when hitting ANY rocks, it will just take longer if the rocks don't have ore in them.
And, yes, I know the 'mod' is made in a scripting language, but the core game is made in BlitzBasic-which, as I forgot to mention, isn't object-oriented. The reason that matters is because if it were O-O then to add a new 'thing' to the game all you'd have to do is 'extend' it from a previous object that does what you want, and it would automatically do all of that, and what ever else you told it. As it is, you have to rewrite everything each time you make something new.
