There is something wrong with mine. When you enter it hunger/thirst/tiredness values are changing to 0, also time is changing. Same when you exit it

Yeah, I know, and I've already fixed it. It'll be in the next release.

When I was playing, I was thinking about it, and I have come up with some ideas to improve the game even more. I'm going to share these ideas.

I have encountered a bug with items getting caught up in the forge, but I suppose I can live with that ;]

To the ideas:

I think it would be good to add another status bar!
It would be great to havea bar called... mood!
If a player would eat a tropica bread and drink some coffe, the mood meter would grow. And if he would sit in the dark, eat raw meat or be hungry/thirsty/tired, the meter would decrease.

If the player would have a low mood meter, he'd cause low damage, walk slower, get less items from trees, refiill less hunger or thirst, sleep longer and so.

If his mood would be high, he'd have more health, deal more dmg, fill more hunger and thirst with food, move faster, jump higher...

But i know, what it takes to create something like that. We'd have to change almost everything in the game.
And, well... That would change Stranded II into The Sims

Tell me, what do you think.

Oh, and by the way... Why did you remove the water pools and random characters from the random games? Without water, it's really hard. And there is no water even on medium!

Wizard can use magic like Fireball, Lesser Heal, Greater Heal (also like Lesser Heal, but stronger),but casting magic is making player hungry/thirsty/tired. the Wizard skill is increase if player cast magic, even if its fail.

Warrior use its strength to fight the hostile creature/human, the Warrior skill increase if the player kill animal/human. every 20 point, the player increase its damage by 1, weight space by 10.

Use the 'pick up' key. It's found under options in Controls (2). It will pick up any finished\refined items.

Random characters are still in the game, just unlikely. If by water pools you mean water rocks then they are still in the game as well. I removed *fountains* (which were an infinite source of water). If there seems to be a lack of water pools you can turn a small rock into a water pool by hitting it with a hammer 50 times. Furthermore you can make 'water pools' by building a trough (it collects water when it rains). If for whatever reason it's not raining often, you can crush leaves into clay bottles.

1. Presumably the 'soft' iron rod wasn't red hot yet.
2. Hard iron rods can't be combined with hammer. Soft iron rods can.

Seriously, guys, I didn't think this was that hard to remember:
1. Soft metals are what you mold into other items, using the hammer.
2. Hard items are 'finished' and used in combinations.
3. Make hard metal soft by heating it to red hot in forge then letting it cool (by removing forge fire).
4. Make soft metal hard by heating it to red hot in forge then dousing it with water using clay bucket.

so just put those hard ones in forge, wait till they go red, remove fuel and wait till they cool down and you will get soft ones. then combine with hammer to make more tools

and the reason why u got some soft and some hard rods is probably that you doused them before all became red


builder, i think the reason why people (including me) have problem with this is:

- iron rod is named iron rod and not iron bar. it makes people think its some part (like handle or something) for more tools and not a material for further processing
- its not really intuitive that first you use hammer and soft iron to make rod and then again use hammer on this rod to make further tools. like if we couldnt just use hammer with soft iron to make those tools directly :S
- whats the use of hard iron rod? people smelt iron rod to hard iron one and they get no recipes for it.

so i propose again to do one of the following:
- remove iron rods completely and let people craft scythe / pickaxe straight from soft iron
- remove hard iron rod so people stop crafting item that is basically useless
- rename iron rod to iron bar so people know its a material and not a finished part, that requires "hardening"
- put hard iron rods in recipes instead of iron rod

Iron rods have always been named iron rods. Even in default S2 they were called 'iron rods'. I don't see the logic in assuming an item is a 'material' merely because it's called a 'bar'?

Once again, this hasn't changed from default S2. Example: Shovel\axe take iron, iron can also be turned into iron rods, which are used for scythe and pickaxe.

It's used in certain buildings. It'll also be used for making the ship in the endgame.

1. The additional step helps with keeping menu clutter (as higher levels items are moved to the 'iron rod' combination) to a minimum and helps increase your forging skill.
2. It isn't useless. Building combinations.
3. ??? I still don't understand this. How does it's name affect what it is? I mean, hell, I even explained how to use it in the items description. (note: there is typo that may be responsible for the confusion; I forgot to edit the hard iron rod's description)
Iron Rod (soft): "an iron rod. Combine it with a hammer to make tools or heat it in the forge then douse with water to turn it hard"
4. I think that would confuse people more, having a 'hard' item that is used in combination with the hammer.

Yeah, that bug was pointed out on page 42 or something. It's because a variable wasn't being localized correctly. It's already been fixed though. For now just enjoy the extra item.

Just tested it. It doesn't seem to be replicating any items or starting any infinite loops, so I'd say it's fine. Not a major issue.

Have you fixed the bug I posted? I cant play MM unless it is fixed

1. Stop cheating. Seriously. Why are so many people cheating? Every time I look in a save game I see that people have invuln enabled or have given themselves 500 butterflies or built 30 defense towers, ect.

2. The grill worked fine when I used your folder. Same for all the other saves and installations people sent me. I'm starting to think that the collision issues are related to something else. Does Stranded 2 lag badly for you?

3. Use the goddamn 'pick up' key. I scripted it so you *could* still play even if the grill didn't work. I've explained it like fifty times. Look in your options, under Controls (2). Change it to whatever key you want.

4. Why is it that people complain that the grill never works but I never see meat fallen through it? Seriously. How about someone send me a save with the meat actually in the fire after falling through the grill. Or take a damn video.

Well i dunno if this helps, but if im standing on the grill, and throwing the meat on it, of-course it will fall down, if im like 5-10 steps back, and aim at the grill (at the grills bars), and throw it then, it lands JUST on the grill...

besides that, how is that soups caldron (r whatever the name was), doing ?
