To anyone having the clay crash OR has food fall through the grill and items fall through the forge as if it's not there (ie; no collision at all), please .zip and upload your Stranded 2 folder here:
http://www.filedropper.com/

Then, pm me the link.

The lions are intense now, they hunted me down into the beach on my first night on the mm_mountain map!
(Maybe you could add some limiting factor to their hunting, they went through all the rocks to get to me.)
and freestranded has a lion spawn right next to where most people will set up...

Great mod builder, thanks alot for it, good fun.

Question though, don't you think it's a little harsh to have food burn before it's cooked? It makes no sense, how can something reach a high lvl of heat before reaching a medium level.

Usually out of 4-5 pieces of meat only 1-2 end up not being burned. And that's while standing there, watching it like a hawk.

So basicly, food is raw, food is burned before being cooked. Ie. Switching from red meat colour to the brown colour.

Meh, it has become so irritating that I stopped playing. I went through alot of effort to get 6 breads on the grill. Out of 6 , 5 units of dough burned before turning into bread. Am I doing something wrong or is cooking ment to be this frustrating?

Also, the charcoal output seems to be quite high compared to what's needed to run the forge briefly.

You're going to hate me for this, but... It's honestly a random chance. The way cooking originally worked (way, way, back before I even released it) was that the food would slowly turn brown (tada, cooked), then if you didn't pick it up in time it would slowly turn black (tada, burnt). The issue was that then you *had* to stand by the fire and watch over your food like a hawk. Ideally you should only need to watch over the grill if there are lions nearby (they might be attracted by the smell).

So what I did this version was add a random chance to when the meat finishes cooking. Ie; When the 'small meat (raw)' item is replaced by 'small meat (cooked)'. If your cooking skill is under 25 then the chance is 1/10 for the food to burn. Over 25? 1/25.

Although, I *have* noticed that it seems more food burns when more food is on the grill. I think it's just an illusion, you know, there being more food on the grill (more chances to burn), it just 'seems' to burn more often. I'll hook some debug code into the cooking script and test it though.

I think I can make the burn chance less annoying, maybe tie your cooking skill into it more than just a 'over 25 = less chance'. Or maybe the food is guaranteed to cook properly, but then a second timer starts for say, 1 minute, and if you don't pick it up within that time there is a random chance it'll burn.

Blackpowder is also bugged...

...how so? A bit more information when reporting bugs would be nice.

@To everyone talking about the lions:
Currently the lions are about as powerful as they should be, but way too aggressive. I'm going to try and limit that. They should be strong but something that if you leave them along, they leave you along.

Also I kind of forgot about the lion spawn on freestranded and the mountain map. I'll fix that.

EDIT:
I figured out what is causing the clay\blackpowder errors. For whatever reason I messed up when I was assembling the directories of the .zip folder, meaning the icons for the clay bucket\black powder\ect are in the wrong location. Everyone should thank need0help for sending me his Stranded 2 folder.

It seems like the *patch* is assembled correctly however, so to fix the clay\blackpowder crashes, download and install this:

There is another problem with clay bucket.
When you fill it with water it turns into clay bottle

I like this idea. Maybe you could have it so that a higher cooking skill = more time before it burns, or you receive messages about food being cooked/about to burn.

I never got to try the gunpowder thing, but this worked fine for the clay fix. Thanks!

I second that, the timer before burning is an excellent idea.

Alright, I'll work on it. Any other suggestions\ideas\comments\bugs\criticism, ect, post it. I can always use ideas and ways to improve MM.

Well, im not sure if this is possible, but i was playing stranded 2 mm, and my friend was over, he said, that it would be cool, if you could have like a pencil, pen (r' whatever you can draw with), and a paper (already has it), and for example, you explore the island, and the places you have visited, you can draw on the paper, making a map r' something like that.....

+ I think you should make something, that would protect your campfire from rain (something like a shelter over your campfire/grill)

And another idea, wich i think would make the game EXTRA Hard, would be adding a new bar, to those needs (The place where it shows Hunger, Thirst etc.), add How cold you are, so to increase this stat, you need to make yourself some clothes, (so it would increase), but when you get really hurt combat, or by time, those clothes wear off, and you can't use them (well, your 'for example: heat; ) is starting do decrease!) (i know it sounds stupid, but if you play the game for like 1000 Days, with the same clothes, wich you can't see, that seems stupid)

(Damn How Many times have i edited this?)

AND THE FINAL idea, was to add another food cooking type, A boiler/Caldron (i don't speak english, dunno how its really named), where you can cook Soups!

But anyways, i really like that your ONLY making the game harder and more fun

PS. I think your mod is the best SII Mod out there!

Being able to add map markers is a good idea. I've added it to my todo list. I've considered the ability to make a shelter for the fire, don't know if I'll add it in or not.

Having to regulate your temperature will not be added in (at least for normal stranded maps). I might make a script or two that will enable temperature on special maps that are set in the arctic\desert, but I can't guarantee it. In default S2 maps you would never need to really focus on temperature, it detracts from game play too much.

The soup pot is a good idea and has been on my todo list for quite awhile.

In other news, I finally got around to fixing some links. I've updated the full installation with the patch, correct file directories, and items_stuff hotfix. I've also put the items_stuff hotfix into the patch. Furthermore, I've uploaded both to File Dropper & Filefront.

MM Download has written
Patch (for Massive Mod 'Forging' version):
If you've downloaded the MM 'Forging' version and are having errors such as clay+knife crashing your game, or the clay bucket when filled with water resulting in clay bottle, download this:
http://www.filedropper.com/mmpatch1_3
http://www.filefront.com/15214987/MM-Patch-1.zip/
Copy it over your "mods" folder so it overwrites the correct files.

Massive Mod 'Forging':
If you've not downloaded the new version of MM (ie; before page 37), download this. It includes the patch listed above.
http://www.filedropper.com/massivemod_4
http://www.filefront.com/15215001/Massive-Mod.zip/
This is a self-contained version of MM. Simply extract the zip file, then run "Massive Mod.bat". DO NOT EXTRACT IT OVER A STRANDED 2 INSTALLATION.

Well, i thought that you could add a new tree, Birch! and a new building, (that thing what lets you get birch's juice)!
So that could be a new food source...(For example, to make that building, you need ???X Branch And a 1XBucket!) And by some time it fills up!

It's only a suggestion
