Eureaka! The sword problem is finally fixed, due to the scripting genius of DC, and I will release the swordset within the next 1-2 weeks.

It is commonly annoying when you can't use more than one mod at a time in a game, so it makes perfect sense to take alot of what is great from all the mods for Stranded II and create a megamod with everyone's favorite mod features! So bravo!

I'm sorry to see the thread is a bit old, but I'm hopeful with the right show of interest and active input, maybe some excitement and development gets re-injected back into this multi-combo mod?

I have a few questions and I'm hoping answers might be able to lead to sheding light or getting certain things fixed, or that there might be enough useful info to get certain things working even just in my own copy (I am decent at the scripts and have already modded some of the mods to my own liking. )...

1. Flashlight is not as bright as the torch. Shouldn't it be a bit brighter so its more useful? Alot of times it gets pitch-black at night. Second part to this question... I noticed sometimes the torch gives off NO LIGHT. Its like certain terrian is so black, its devoid and absorbs any light given off. Sometimes its just in some areas of a map, but sadly worse is sometimes its the entire map. And this is from random generated maps, not player created maps. Are the color/brightness values in the game different with this mod? Or is it a problem in the engine itself? Could adjusting the random generated terrain values, or some color values in game.inf fix the problem of having sufficient lighting from torch and flashlight? Its weird cause on the maps/areas with this problem, I am still able to build a standing torch and it gives off light, but I have found in some areas that can also be hampered by certain terrians or their light-value settings?

2. Does Diving/Swimming and Flying skills work at all? Or is the problem most maps don't have high enough places to climb/jump off of or deep enough to dive down into? Cause the Glider, Battle Wings, etc sound great. But I haven't been able to use them I guess because the game is waiting for me to unlock the flying skill somehow and I have yet to be able to?

3. Same question about swordmaster skill? I love swords, and I think its a neat idea, but not sure if its working or how do you unlock the swordmaster skill? I'd also love to see a sword-model be created so you have some sort of swinging/slashing/lunging/bashing animation to go with the skill. I might also be able to assist in this if needed.

4. Also is there a way to change some of the randomization settings for the a new random game so there is a greater chance of having islands instead of just one huge landmass? I love to have a little island away from the mainland and if I generate a new game enough times, I do get one. I just wish there was more randomization customization or a way I can do it myself in the .inf files?

5. Any plans to incorporate updated changes from Massive Mod, etc? Like the grill for cooking on the fire, the grape/cherry bread dough etc?

Those are my main concerns with the mod right now. And hopefully something can be done or I can figure out how to help do it or at least do some of these fixes/changes for my copy.

I really hope the mod is just on vacation and coming back strong soon. Very good job and great idea. Thank you Bloodshot for doing it. And thanks to all the other mod developers that put in such good work. Breathed alot of life into Stranded II.

Hah merci beaucoup, thank you. And hopefully it hasn't stopped because bloodshot basically came at this problem in one of the best ways possible for the most part. I see other major mods supposidly in development, but until something is released.. its all vaporware. So here we are in a forum about a game that hasn't been updated in a year and a half. Mod projects slowly come and go. But I do see a following, to whats a really cool game. Just on the whole recreating of Cast Away or being one Stranded on an island. Its very unique and cool. And sure I wish the models/graphics were better (I think I found a gfx replacement mod somewhere but forgot where and never got to try it), or that there were more combinations and items and stuff.. and then low and behold, the game is soo easily moddable. And FUN to mod and try different things out with, and easy to get into it if someone hasn't modded before.

The ability of the Mod community for any game, especially a game that is just kinda standing still right now.. is to add all those other things and expand and go beyond. And theres some cool people on this forum that are still active and interested in modding, they all need to work together, with bloodshot, and with each other, and no one is really the leader or owning any body elses code, everyone should get the credit of the code from their former mods, and they should all than realize how good it is to all chip in and make different flavors of combinations of their mods. Like MKVCS, and others that have benefited from mods that came before theirs.

Its a WIN WIN if people realize how far some of these mods have come and how little further scripting or alittle modeling, anything.. just some of the scripts, combinations, bug fixes on existing mods.. better forging not just in their mod, but also for other good mods that aren't completely dead yet.

Theres a reason why some people really still come back to this game time and time again, and I'm sure there are tons of people out there trolling these forums just waiting for that next mod or next mod update to try out. Me included. So thanks all who recognize the special niche of this game and the mods you can make and use for it. Thanks for reading.

1. Torch problem is with the original game and it bugs me to. I'm afriad that I do not see any way to fix it.

2. That was from verticly challenged. My mod is mostly an 'Item mod', just loads of new items. I do not think that those skills will work because running through tons and tons of unit and item, and mabey even game scripts (These are inf files) to find somthing to increase the skills is just to monotonous.

3.Still in dev, but I can tell you I've got the 3 modes problem worked out.

4. That would be very advanced, beyond my understanding, so I apoligize, I am just an amature.

5. I did message builder about giving my mod to him and working as practical partners. Unfortinately, that was a month ago, and no new messages.

This mod is Frozen, but if you want I can give you what I have now. The reason it's frozen is:

1.Lack of new ideas for items.
2.Laziness

What I see as a major problem is mini-mods are popping up all over, and 90% of them dissapeer quickly. The 10% do go on, but I think that we should all merge, the 10%, to go on, into a massive mod beyond what builder is going for. (I assume, no offence intended)

My Stranded is now mostly multiplayer supportive!!! The only functions that are not included are some projectiles which were not in the original game. In addition to a combination of 3 mods plus my own (Kidnap Mod, Vertically Challenged, the OLD Massive Mod) with multiplayer there is a new player model: The dwarf!
