Simply put it wasn't moded illegally besides DC Welcomed all mods. He even put the source code up for download. Im not denying this can be called a hack but it is a mod made by Tmk for his cs2dg Servers. sadly he had to make it compatible with the Cs2d original beta so everyone could enjoy the Cs2dg.rox.pl servers.

Taking on your premise and the fact that many of us here do play cs2d and have played cs2d way before they have even heard of a cs2dg.
Logical conclusion: Because more people "care to use" cs2d, cs2d itself is a hack because it does fulfill your premise that no one cares about games that are not hacks.
If you use it in any other server, it's cheating.

True but you start with less money you cannot see the bullets(This I think sucks the most and you can get hit by your own grenades ,also you will get damage when u are the VIP and have 200 Kevlar and Helm

Which interestingly enough is server dependent, not client dependent. If u use cs2dg on a normal server, the client interface automatically reverts back to normal.

It's a seperate modification for CS2D, I don't think it can host regular CS2D servers if so... the perhaps it is a hack. But it still isn't a hack in most cases.
