Am I allowed to use CS2D graphics / sounds on my completely recoded CS2D league version?

It would be a nice challenger for CS2D Max and help the community.

Mods are too limited and I dont want go to that way, because I know I can make better games.

I can code it etc. make good anticheats for it.

But if Im not allowed to use any part of CS2D, then Ill forgot it, except any good drawer wants to help me wink wink.

I DO NOT PROMISE ANYTHING, but if I am allowed to use CS2D gfx and sounds or find a decent graphic I will try to develope it.

The sfx is from the original CS so thats not my decision (I just used it. Valve did not respond as I wrote a mail so it seems to be okay...)
you can use the gfx (a part of the tiles are also from cs) but you have to mention that they are from cs2d and you have to link www.cs2d.com and www.unrealsoftware.de in the game/credits

however I don't think that its a good idea to develop your own cs2d because cs2d max will be better anyway

Challenge is always good

Shall I post topic about it when it is playable and beta out?

I'm sure many will be interested in taking a look at it, so please do so.
I hope you cross-fertilise each other well through that competition. Be jealous. Grudge one another any success that you make. Do it like the US and Sovjets did it with space exploration in the cold war.

Although I think the player will in the end really benefit from that, I'm also quite sure that CS2D Max will have the final word. But we will see.

It is! It's open source within a defined group, including DC and excluding the rest. Be a bit more thankful for so much open-mindedness!
