Forgot a classic game's name

I forgot the name of a classic game, i'm not sure if this is a good forum to discuss this here but you guys seems to be much online and all the other forums are for registering.
so my thing is: when i was young, i always played a game where you was a green (creature) and you was in a jungle and you had the possibility to find robots which where able to help you.
i only had the demo, which i had completed some of 2 times. so i can't remember the end so well anymore, but i remember that there was a boss.
Also, i remember that the options menu was "playable", and with that i mean that there where platforms, and if you bounced your head against a platform with for example the text: sound, it will be changed to lower/harder.
Please help me to find the titel of this game! i really can't tell you more about it, only that it was a platform (i think)
