No, that isn't right in fact. It's a feature from the german extension mod. Because there actually was no further use for the message bottle we implemented that you'll find an empty bottle once you collect it. And that's why you'll need empty bottles for creating potions but there's no (simply) way to create one...

You gotta throw at least 3 (or 5 .. can't remember) BIG meat to "tame" a raptor.

i.e: Throw meat until the "tamed" light shows

I did it and got the little tinkle of light and the message saying I tamed it, only it then ran off towards my home (don't know exactly which building it was heading for) and when I got back it had disappeared.

Anyone have any idea where they go once tamed, or whether this was a bug, not a feature?

Ok, I managed to tame another, only this time it didn't run towards home it carried on running. It simply ran away into the wilderness; probably heading to somewhere near its spawn point.

I still don't understand why the raptor is doing this, I would assume it would stand still or something.

Anyway, I'll try setting up some fences or pallisades to trap it while I chuck the meat at it from on top of a stance. But an answer would be appreciated.

Another quick question, in all my time playing this game (I've been playing a long time) I never worked out what bloodleaf does. (The crimson leafed herb that grows in your herb patches annoyingly often) I've checked all the game files and found no recipe to use it in.

as for the raptor it just roams around like usual except only this time it dosent try to bite your head off and if you push e when close enough to it while faceing it you can ride it for a short time but then it trows you off and you take a little damage but not much.

you can also kill it for food if your bored but dont want to get hit by it.

but yea i agree with you it should stand still or something and i think if you find the tameing script for it and add in just a line of code(i think it starts with "ai_???") i think you can get it to stand still when you tame it.

the war galleon and the pirate ship sounds like something he made like a mod or something so if you dont have it you cant make it.
